The all too well short film got 2 things really really well.

The first is how uncomfortable it felt to see them together, not because they lacked chemistry, their chemistry was fantastic but because I kept thinking she’s a kid.

The second was that fight. You could see the red flags before it, in the stop where Dylan screamed on the phone and threw the car keys. In the way he drank and loudly talked while Sadie stayed quiet on her corner and shook of her hand.

The fight itself felt like something you’ve seen or lived. Trying to point out how the other person hurt you and them brushing it off since they don’t think they hurt you then you are being over dramatic and needy for making such a big deal about it.

Kudos to Dylan and Sadie for their acting, they got it all perfectly.

i've never seen sadie act before but she blew me away in the atw short film. like i was in literal awe of her talent. i felt her pain and frustration and helplessness and loneliness and i just wanted to give her a big fat hug.

i think one of my favorite parts of the all too well short film was the difference in how they argued. it truly showed the age gap. she was more passionate and present about the fight and the words said, begging and pleading— set with a blazoned innocence while he was so distant and over it before it even began. a dismiss of the hand as if speaking to a toddler instead of your partner that is hurt and confused and just wanting some of that passion in return. god, so well done.

also his fucking audacity to tell her that he didn't even notice he dropped her hand WHEN HE CLEARLY PUT HER HAND AWAY ON PURPOSE
