Below you'll find an explanation of why I'm starting this Challenge from the ground up, an apology for my former applicants, and the form to follow for your submissions! Thank you for indulging me for so long in my obsession with this blorbo of mine.

Why the plus? Because otomes will smack lil' plus signs on updated versions of their dating games, and I'm a dork.

Let's be real - I bit off a little more than I could chew the first time around! This new version of KMIK will feature gameplay-heavy storytelling with posed scenes in-between!

I want to make it up to the applicants who waited so long to see this Bachelor Challenge come to fruition, and I genuinely want Daniel to have a fair shot at meeting someone truly meant for him - so I'm opening twenty one slots: seven for my former Contestants (two of which are taken by Daithi Calloway and Josiah Bolton), seven for my former Outsiders, and seven slots for new sims! Of course, the final number will be decided by the number of slots filled!

These three houses will rotate group dates and challenges with Daniel as he whittles down the numbers. In-universe, Dan hates the spotlight of fame, and was an incredibly private man (bar his new cult following on SimTok) before being influenced to be the star of his own Bachelor Challenge by his (well-meaning) agent and siblings. He went into this in the hopes that the contracted work would mean he'd not have to worry about his mother's health bills or his nieces and nephews' college funds for a little while.

However, when he got actual applications in, pictures of real sims who had applied just for the chance to meet him, to fall in love with him... well, it gave him a cold shock of reality. After a period of radio silence, the studio released a statement that said Daniel was deeply sorry, but that he wanted to give this a fair shot, and that meant he'd have to be more open and honest about himself than he was ever comfortable being.

Though I am excited for this clean start, I do want to apologize to all of my former applicants - both for the time it took for me to go through the acceptance process, and the time it took you waiting for me to get back to my desktop... only to learn that the sims you made weren't even going to be used. Believe me, I am no stranger to the loss of a Challenge sim: and I hope that by offering you all an automatic spot in this new save, I can make it up to you a little!

The two existing male contestants (Daithi by @buglaur and Josiah Bolton by @retro-plasma) will remain in the competition, seeing as they were already written to participate as contestants. But given that I'm forgoing the Outsiders concept for the ease of the Bachelor Challenge format, I thought I would offer all of my Outsider applicants the chance to make contestants! As some of my former participants are inactive, I thought this was the best way to reach out - I am really going to be better about talking one-on-one, though.

Jade Malverne for @ivory-shell ‘s bachelor challenge

Heterosexual.

Early-mid 20s.

Has a good sense of humor and is usually the fun friend although she can switch to being logical and serious in a snap when needed.

Gives great relationship advice.

Definitely the person you go to if you want an honest opinion.

Brutally honest, can be quite blunt as she lacks the patience for sugar coating and beating around the bush.

Has 2 scars on her face; one that she got from roller skating as a teen and one she got while trying to save a dog from a car wreckage.

Likes traveling.

Has been almost everywhere and visiting all countries is on her bucket list.

Was a bit of a reckless adrenaline junkie but mellowed after one of her friends got hospitalized.Became responsible, started her career in journalism and only brings her wild side out to play once in a while now.

Still loves activities like Bungee jumping. Would probably be willing to try anything once.

Likes animals. A sucker for dogs and wants to get one someday.

Completely tune deaf but sings to herself when she’s alone or when she thinks no one’s listening.

Can’t cook to save her life.

Has a major sweet tooth. Works out to keep in shape and will never give up her desserts.

Bribing her with food is the easiest way to get her to do something.

As an only child of a single mom, she doesn’t believe in The One and hasn’t had much luck in her previous relationships.

However, she secretly dreams of find true love like in the movies and settle down.

After having traveled around a lot, she now wants to stay in one place and try her luck at love.

Sam Forrester for @indiana-sims BC

Traits: Good, Ambitious and Family oriented.

Age: 38 (YA)

Sam grew up in Brindleton Bay with his florist mom, detective dad and his absolute favorite person in the world; his little sister. Growing up with cop dad gave him a strong set of morals of what was right and what was not. He took self defense classes as a teen and planned of following in his fathers footsteps but the sudden death of his mother made him become a doctor instead.

Most people would describe him as a nice but somewhat reserved guy. In reality, it’s just that he isn’t very good at socializing so ends up remaining silent. Being slightly workaholic and doing volunteer work sometimes leaves him little time to date. Not that he has had much luck.

Once, he went to lunch with this nice girl. He thought he was lucky since him initiating usually didn't go well. Halfway through, his date excused herself to the ladies room. Half an hour later, he decided he should just go home only to realize both his wallet and phone were missing. Suffice to say, that was one date he would rather not remember.

Sam is quite a simple man with simple tastes. If you went on a date in his hometown, it would be something like going on a picnic, feeding some ducks, sightseeing and just enjoying each others company. Or a nice day at the beach ending with a quiet dinner in candlelight. Meeting his little sister would be a given if he were to take you to his hometown since it would be near impossible to avoid her anyway.

He went on vacation with his friends to Selvadorada once. With his bad luck though he got sick on the third day and had to come back. He hopes to visit and truly explore Selvadorada again.. maybe with a special someone.

Although Same currently resides in a nice apartment in San Myshuno, he keeps in touch with his family. His little sister and his best friend are only ones he talks to daily. 

He loves cooking whenever he has the time. He usually spends his free time cooking, playing chess or socializing with the few close friends he has.

One thing he wouldn’t want his candidates to know is that he is deathly scared of clowns.

Traits: Childish, Creative and Romantic

Zodiac: Leo

Favorite color is red. Always uses something red in her outfit.

Loves big weird/funky earrings like cherries, icecream cones, faces etc.

Very artistic, loves abstract art.

Wants to be a well-known painter someday.

Tone deaf but doesn’t know it.

Loves cats. Not so much a dog person.

Passionate about whatever she does.

Can be stubborn sometimes.

Loud, crazy and wild can be used to describe her most of the time.

Wants to get a piercing or tattoo but hasn’t be able to decide on what/where.

Loves hot and spicy food + taking part in contests.

Can be highly competitive.

Age: YA - late 20s

Traits: Outgoing, Athletic and Vegetarian.

Born and raised in Selvadorada with 4 older sisters.

Moved to Del Sol Valley for better opportunities as a photographer.

Loves spicy food.

Not a dessert person.

Found an ancient relic on a photoshoot in an old temple, which revealed the existence of vampires to him.

Has been interested in the occult and vampires ever since.

Wants to become a vampire one day.

Has yet to meet an actual vampire. Very excited for the day that he does.

Likes outdoorsy activities. Also athletic ones like rock climbing and running marathons.

Used to be a no-strings-attached kind of guy, looking to settle down now.

Confident and outspoken. Some would say cocky even.

His guilty pleasure is watching the romance channel when he’s home alone.
