I know this feels a little out of canon but hear me out
Them getting comfortable enough to be around each other and Theta sleeping with him, I can imagine them talking for hours on the most trivial things because they find each other interesting
And for once, Theta lets down her guard fully and ends up falling asleep w/o meaning to, which shows she actually trusts him!! And instead of trapping or taking her.. she lets her rest. Perhaps he wants to watch her sleep for a little bit, count the freckles on her cheeks. Something like that
