I still haven't gotten apotheosis, but I'm absolutely certain I'd like her!!

Spoilers below, not subjecting my muties who might want to play the game:

I think what it says about me is that I went downstairs without the knife, trying to, yunno, give her the benefit of the doubt. But through the conversation I got more paranoid. When the knife went down the stairs, I took it. She escaped the chains, my suspicions apparently confirmed that she wasn't to be trusted. That got me to the Witch, where I fought the whole time. I was afraid, from there, didn't want to be complacent in her taking me over, so I tore myself from the Networked Wild. I'll tell you dude, no game has made me cry faster than Slay the Princess. First ending in, holding a knife to a helpless being, who only wanted to return to me as part of the same whole.

And I did it. I slew her.

And I was like. Holy Shit.

And then it just. RESETS? AND IT'S OVER?

That's something I love about this game, really. There are sincerely no wrong options, no bad endings. You peek through your fingers while you make the hard choices and The Shifting Mound is always grateful to you, for providing another viewpoint.

I go again. I slay her, because I know she's dangerous. I check the body, trying to take the knife, and she stabs me.

I get the Razor. Again, my paranoia got the best of me. And she was more suspicious, more frightening. A head full of conflicting voices and a narrator trying to conceal everything from me.

And it's clear. Empty. Cold precision.

I come back. I bring the knife. I sit down to talk, instead. I drop my blade, and then I fight.

And she fights back. Each of my playthroughs so far has been her fighting me, returning every ounce of suspicion and violence.

The Adversary. This time, it was fun for her. She was seeking a fight. That was something I could do.

I fight. I die. I get back up. I get back up. I get back up.

Fated rivals, perfect equals. Sometimes she'd gut me, sometimes I'd slice her first, but the most endings land with us falling at one another's side. Again and again and again and again, until the very world unravels around us.

It was the most romantic thing I'd ever seen, and the rest of the preamble made sense to me:
