They Need Each Other
I don’t get the narrative of “Benkei’s just Kyoya’s creepy stalker” when Kyoya is usually the one who beckons Benkei to follow him in the first place.
Kyoya is the one who asks him to train with him, be his competition partner, and was the one who probably recruited him to be Team Wild Fang’s spare blader.
If anything: Kyoya needs Benkei just as much as Benkei wants to follow Kyoya. They need each other in order to truly thrive and grow stronger. Which makes their relationship all the more beneficial and familial.
Team Wild Fang in a Nutshell
Kyoya: Team leader, Lion boy just wants to battle his Pegasus rival again. Will actually fight a 5 year old with no mercy.
Nile: 2nd in command. Egyptian hottie just wants some peace and quiet with some damn respect. Was legitimately ready to choke out Masamune during their joint press conference.
Demure: Team Mom. Has analytical skills that could give dizzy a run for her nonexistent money. Is fine with being the spare blader as long as his friends are happy.
Benkei: Hype man & 2nd spare blader. Loves his teammates like they’re his brothers. Totally fine with bromantic PDA but shouldn’t be underestimated in the bey pit since he’s Kyoya’s right hand man outside of the team.
Overall Team Relationship: A Bunch of Brothers who’re completely comfortable with each other’s presence. Boundaries? What are those?
While the others went to go find someplace safe from Gingka & Ryuga’s battle, Benkei continued to hold Kyoya in his arms and used his body as a shield to keep him safe from the raging winds.
Winds that more than likely is strong enough to pick up rocks and sand that could cause serious damage to someone’s vision if any of it got into your eyes.
But Benkei protected Kyoya without a second thought.

Benkei risked his life to restore Kyoya’s sanity after he was manipulated by Doji.
Benkei, even while bruised and injured, went to try to convince Kyoya that what he was doing was wrong. Even though Kyoya had done some pretty messed up stuff to him.
To quote Madoka, “Benkei practically begged us to help you”. He begged for the others to help Kyoya recover even after all he put them through.
Benkei took care of him the entire night. Changing his bandages, making sure he didn’t get sweaty or too cold. Literally acting as his nurse even when Kyoya was ready to break his bones after their match.
Benkei tearfully hugged him in the morning after Kyoya woke up. He hugged the guy who almost destroyed his bey.
The reason why Kyoya allows Benkei to train, travel, compete, and live with him throughout the series is because Benkei became more than a friend to him. He became his brother and his right hand man in everything. Benkei’s unconditional love and respect for him melted away his barrier he had set up between them.
That’s why I love their relationship. Because Benkei managed to change Kyoya for the better and because Benkei is the only one Kyoya bonds with throughout the entire Metal Saga intimately.

This is the last set of Eurovision “drawings” I’m doing don’t worry, actually I had them in my folder for something like one month and a half now so I thought it was time for me to finally share them (?)
It’s the last ones and yet ironically what I’m about to show you is what made it all start in the first place.
I felt in love with Norway’s catchy entry. Like, deeply in love.
So I went to check the video clip and then suddenly BAM.
One frame appeared.
That single frame made me wish very hard to see some redraws but with MFB characters instead.
This is how the clip starts:
Dark and cold colors, snow, no movements, emotionless, makes the mystery grow…
And then suddenly, coming out of nowhere, with no freaking reason, you get this:
- Long hair
- Animal ears
- Fancy clothes
- Wind blowing hair
- Finally some lights
Excuse me but how fabulous is this?
Exactly what the Eurovision is all about.
And maybe you can guess which character I immensely wanted to see as one of the singers.

Why him and why with this frame? Well
- The ears obviously (who else except him rambles ramble 24/7 that they’re a wild animal or whatever?)
- The super fancy white outfits with fur
- Sitting on the fancy chair as if it was a throne
This frame was made for Kyoya and no one else.
Then I was like “why not involving the rest of the Wild Fang Team while I’m at it?”

Just assume that Demure is the one behind the camera, leading the whole thing while secretly mocking them in his mind because I’m sure he can have a very evil part deep down in himself. There was no way I could do him such a dishonour.
