Hikari and Mizu
there’s lore in this post oh boy. So Hikari is Fowlers daughter (even if unwanted and considered a burden) so when Mizu takes Hikari along (after a while of her sniveling and sobbing) Mizu does not want to get attatched in any way, but Hikari has a talent of working her way into people’s hearts so Mizu starts to even fall for her, but doesn’t want to because of three reasons 1. Hikari could possibly be her half sister 2. Hikari is also a woman and Mizu’s facade doesn’t make her a man (mmm time period homophobia) and finally 3. Her mission doesn’t allow room for any relationship. But Hikari gets immediately attached to anyone who doesn’t raise their voice so she’s attached at Mizu’s hip.

more lore, despite Hikari’s brain injury and subsequent lack of good/coordinated hand movements shes actually great with an ink brush. She often paints landscapes and uses her shaky hands to her ability to texture paintings. She often sketches Mizu, finding her the pinnacle of coolness and wanting nothing but her approval

Blue eye samurai Oc Blitz! Meet Aoife!!
I’ve had Aoife for a while and she has lore! She’s a bit older than Mizu and around her height, so she’s 22-23 and 5,4. She’s an Irish woman from Galway and has amazing talent in woodwork. Now I know you’re probably asking “how’d this white woman from half across the world get into edo Japan!??” And the story isn’t pretty. She was plucked from her home at 14 and sold to a lord to be an “exotic” concubine, something he could show off and say “oh but it behaves” or something gross like that. He was known to harm concubines and find humour in their suffering so of course once day Aoife snapped, killed the lord, burned down his estate and then fled. She vowed to kill everyone involved in her suffering, or even men she deemed to be piggish. 😜✨🎀💖 girl powerrrrr. Anyways yeah she wears a mask and veil to conceal her white features as shown and usually fights with an axe instead of a sword

bad news
something happened with my sealant I think and all the paint cracked off of Mizu’s head, I tried to paint over it but it kept cracking, so I’m taking off the paint and trying again… pray for meeeee 😖😖
