gwen had been a little bit disoriented since her memories came back. she had also been worried about if this was an after life of sort , but when the movies popped up on her doorstep it was clear this was something else. gwen had been on her way to a library wanting to try and do some research on some stuff , that was til she heard her name , turning around gwen felt a gasp slip past her lips. ‘ peter! ‘ gwen didnt think twice before pulling him into a hug , wanting nothing more than to feel his arms around her.

it had been years since peter lost gwen and it was something he was going to carry around with him forever. he had let it consume him at first. how could he not? it was his fault she was dead after all. he failed to keep her safe and then failed to save her. peter had broken the promise he had made to her father and taken away another member of the stacy family. he saw her every night when he closed his eyes. nightmares at first. her lifeless body. but then eventually, peter forced himself to remember all the good gwen did. all the happiness she had brought him. that’s now what he clung to. what he had to cling to. to stop himself from going bitter. to keep him going as spiderman. it was all for gwen. she was the love of peter’s life and he wasn’t sure he would ever get over her. heart never fully healed. then in that moment, walking down main street, peter saw someone that looked so strikingly to gwen that he couldn’t help but approach when she had stopped. he was about to walk away, knowing he had made a mistake and his heart would ache for days but then she turned her head towards him. “…gwen?” peter choked out, lost for words and unable to even move.
anna marie smiled when he confirmed it was him , logan had become like an older brother to her over the years. logan had been someone she could always rely on him , he had been one of the few that stuck around even when she pushed people away because of her abilities. ‘ do ah get a hug or ya jus’ gonna keep starrin at me? ‘ rogue asked playfully putting her hand on her hip in mock anger stance.

"rogue?" logan enquired, looking up finally at the woman that approached him. it seemed mutants were popping up everywhere on this damned island lately. not exactly a bad thing, in all honesty. the team had been the only family logan had. had excepting him even when he had been difficult. "well shit, it's good to see you."
emma rolled her eyes at his reasoning , emma had hoped to not have to see him tonight so she could just focus on the event. but she should have known that wasnt going to happen tonight , especially after everything that was going on in the town and to people personally. emma took a sip of her drink pushing herself off the wall so she could leave if she wanted too. ‘ yeah who’d you switch with? ‘ emma responded , crossing her free arm over her chest. emma had known logan a long time , she knew didnt need to read his mind to know what was going on. when he complimented her emma couldnt help the eye roll again. ‘ when dont i. ‘
logan had felt a little messed up since getting his memory backs. ok, more than messed up. but there was nothing else to it than to continue to just live. at least those fake memories in his head had him have an established life here. which in some part, did also present a problem. he found himself outside, trying to catch a calm moment on his own to light a cigar. he hadn't expected emma to be there. he had seen her from across the room a few times throughout the night, but always kept out of sight of her. logan wasn't great at emotions and his relationship with emma was complicated right now. "needed the money," he responded, leaning against a wall and pulling out the smoke. that part was true. she didn't have to know that he'd swapped with a coworker when he found out it was her event. "you look good."
a smile at korras question pulled softly across asamis lips , glad to have korra home for the night. asami looked up at korra with a look of admiration , ‘ its a formula that ive done 100s of times before i dont know why its not working. ‘ asami admitted knowing korra wouldnt judge her for the frustration. ‘ but a break does sound good. ‘
korra leant over slightly to kiss her girlfriend on the head when she looked up. "want me to fight those numbers for you?" she teased. the only thing that she couldn't physically hurt for bothering asami. "maybe taking a step away to clear your head might work?" she suggested.
katniss smiled and rolled her eyes at his comment , ‘ yeah definitely that. ‘ katniss was no better , she ate a lot of bread and other various things that peeta brings home for them. katniss picked up the bag up off the counter before coming around the counter. she didnt really like spending too much time alone on her days off , being in the woods was different. ‘ hows it been this morning? ‘
"is that a subtle way of telling me i'm eating too much sugar?" peeta asked, pinching at his waist in a teasing manner as if he had gained a lot of weight. "for you? always," peeta commented. he asked the cashier if they could watch the counter before inviting katniss to come into the back area so they can have some privacy in the staff kitchen.
lara shook her head sadly , she had been trying to find answers especially after the video games showed up at her house. but so far lara hadnt been able to really come up with anything that could give her a lead yet. lara wanted to find something , any type of lead to try and put sam’s nerves at ease. ‘ i dont , i havent had the best luck in my search. but dont worry i will figure it out , i somehow always do. ‘ lara assured trying to help those nerves. ‘ how have you been sleeping? ‘
"do you have any idea about this place?" sam asked. lara was always more in tune with the unnatural. she had figured out what was going on on yamatai and with himiko before any of them did. plus all her adventures after that. "well, i'm okay. as in, the only weird thing going on in my brain right now is of this place." it was a touchy subject for sam, because she still had nightmares. and also considering how she remembered leaving things with lara. telling her not to come back to see her when she was in the institution.
‘ mmm. ‘ emma responded the sound definitely saying that she definitely didnt believe him. emma had her own mixed feelings about the situation , but she always held a respect for him. so when he left and acts like hes avoiding her only to show up work events and pulls things like this that didnt help her already confused. emma turned towards him with a bit of a pointed look but positioned herself so she could walk away. ‘ i dont need to impress anyone , this is my event. i will always be the best looking one in the room especially when its my event. ‘ she had always used her looks as her first line of defense when it came to dealing with people. when you look the best most didnt want to mess with you.
"max," logan said with a shrug, taking a puff of the cigar. "he wanted more time with the family or whatever." he didn't want things to be weird between him and emma, but logan had always been the best at handling his emotions. it was strange that they were in a relationship, when they never had been in their actual life. not that logan hadn't looked at her that way. maybe not romantic, but he had always found her attractive. "good point. but you look like you're out to impress someone," he probed, trying to figure out if she had a date or not.
ellie smiled at dina , ellie didnt mind getting up to get jj ready for the day so dina could sleep in a bit. dina was an amazing mother and deserved to have some time for herself every once in a while. plus ellie loved getting to spend time with just jj , it was second nature to her at this point she didnt even have to think about it. ‘ of course , i was already up and going. ‘ ellie assured back in the same soft tone. ‘ i also made breakfast , you hungry? jj wanted pancakes this morning. ‘
dina had woken up at her usual time but when she went to get jj, he wasn't there. she obviously didn't have to worry, knowing ellie was in the house. so after brushing her teeth and washing her face, she went into the kitchen. noticing ellie struggling, dina stepped up behind her, fixing the bracelet on her. she then took ellie's hand and squeezed it slightly, not letting go. they were closer than they had ever been here in ivy cove. "thank you for getting jj up," she said softly, almost in a whisper. she didn't want to fight with ellie anymore. she still loved her. wanted to move on so badly. and dina had finally come to realisation that it was her own fault for holding back.
rogue hugged him back tightly , anna marie had missed him alot because he tended to be the only one who understood her reservation with other people. she didnt have to walk on eggshells around him like she did with others. ‘ ive been good , things are a little weird around here definitely but not the first time something like this has happened to us right? ‘ anna marie joked. ‘ what about you? hows this place treated you? ‘
logan gave a short chuckle at her question and approached, pulling her into a hug. rogue had always been one of the xmen that he had been closer to. almost like family. he had been able to confide in her things he couldn't with anyone else, without fear she would judge him for whatever it was. "how you been?" he asked, after pulling away. because for him it had been a long time since he had last seen her. he had surpassed all the xmen in life.
gwen was thankful for this moment , to have be able to hug peter again felt like a dream. she had been looking for some kind of answers for months , anything that might explain why she was here. gwen had also looked for peter for months once she heard about others loved ones showing up. one of her hands went up into his hair after he buried it into her neck. she didnt care where they were right now , just that he was here in front of her. ‘ its okay , im here now. ‘
to feel her touch again was indescribable to peter. he had always imagined it, tried not to forget what it felt like. to be in her arms. to feel her skin. run his hands through her hair. but it was always just thoughts. memories. but now she was here. it still felt like a dream. peter didn’t even bother trying to hide the tears that started to creep out of his eyes, despite them being in public. peter couldn’t let her go. didn’t want to let her go. never again. head buried in her neck, he breathed in, taking in her smell and relishing the moment. “i’m sorry gwen… i’m so sorry," was all he managed to choke out.
arwen smiled when she looked up at sam’s voice , glad to see the hobbit. arwen had a special place in her heart for the company that helped frodo. the hobbits were always so nice and funny that she loved having them around. it was nice that sam kept in contact , arwen took the flowers as they were held out to her. ‘ thank you samwise , its nice to see you! you should come by more often. ‘

sam had always had a fascination with elves. but with his life in the shire, he never expected to ever cross paths with them. their adventure with the ring changed that. he had been awestruck when first seeing them, but none had struck him more than the ladies arwen and galadriel. so it was surreal to him that he was now friends with arwen. she was still as magnificent here in ivy cove as back in middle earth. "for you, my lady," sam said, as he presented her with the bouquet of fresh flowers. he called into the campsite now and again, to see her and aragorn.
asami let korra pull her out of the seat , there was no way that asami could say no to korra. she was right , asami was probably tired and as soon as she picked it back up later it should come to her. but she could never turn down anything from korra , ‘ you know i can never say no to that. ‘
"it'll still be there when you get back," korra reassured, reaching down to hold her hand and tug at it gently, wanting the other to join her on the sofa instead. "and some time away from it might give you some inspiration... and some kisses might cure any headache you have."
ellie started to pull down a plate from the cabinet for dina. ‘ we compromised , we put bananas in the batter. ‘ ellie assured , she was tryin to make everyone happy with it. ‘ would you like some with bananas or without? ‘ ellie asked reaching for the last of the batter that she saved for dina.
dina nodded. "i would love some breakfast," she said, before giving jj a disapproving look. "he did, did he? and you just gave in?" dina asked sternly, before giving a laugh. "i've been trying to keep him on oatmeal, but something sweet every now and again isn't bad." something like this before would have caused an argument between them. but not now.
lara knew how disorienting this whole situation was for sam , it had been bad for her but considering sam had gone throw something similar and wanted to give her some comfort on that. lara knew it probably wont be much help but she was trying the best she could. but when sam said she was sleeping fine , lara knew that she was lying. they had not only lived together for a while but she had also known her for a while. ‘ do you want to stay over mine tonight? i have an extra room. ‘ lara offered hoping that having someone else in the house.
"you do," sam agreed. if anyone could figure this island out, it was lara. just like she had figured out the last one. she had been the only one to actually see what was going on with the storms. she frowned slightly at the question about her sleeping. "fine.." sam said, hoping lara believed the lie. she didn't want her worrying about her again. but she had been sleeping terribly. with awful dreams of himiko again. sam almost wished she never got her memories back.
