So far in Salmon Run, I have contributed 2,223 eggs by myself (the individual golden eggs on screen after a shift) before the 999,999,999 jumpscare despite after not playing for about a month and having slept in to 12 pm yesterday, and I think that's pretty cool of me.

grand run has resulted in a total quota of 1.5B golden eggs!!
I've also beaten hazard level max too!!
and after a splitting headache...
I've found that I've gotten top 18% in grand run!!!! :]

Had a dream about splatoon 3’s big run last night it was kinda crazy.
It started out in completely normal Splatsville, but when my character walked up the stairs to enter the lobby the ground shook and a small kind of cutscene played.
The seven rings you see in the sunken scroll and Background of the trailer either rushed on screen or just appeared there (can’t quite remember) with black clouds/smoke forming around them as the sky turned red. Then the entire square area below the steps completely flooded with water.
It paused there for a sec before some kinda grizzco brand giant vacuum tube fell down and sucked up all the water out and then my player character landing in some weird floating hub where you get briefed on how big run works
to the person in my big run match who went out of their way not to kill bosses or ink turf, but instead draw a heart in the furthest corner of the map..
fuck you.

So in wave 1 of a match someone used a Booyah bomb 2 seconds in,, and then another 20 seconds later.
I understand flyfish are horrible but seriously??

splatoon devs: we're gonna set the big run quota at a ridiculously high number!! we're gonna make it so high that it'll force everyone to grind the event for the whole weekend! we're gonna be generous and let everyone pool their eggs together, but they'll never reach 700,000,000 eggs that easily!! we gottem!!

I was thinking about this too, but don't forget that the Salmonids are the ones invading US. What they're doing is basically what happened in wwII when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor and was like "take that America!!! You're not immune to world domination!!!" And America responded not only by joining the Allies but a few years later dropping fucking extinction bombs on them. History repeating in real time.

The Salmonoids are sentient beings with their own culture and way of life. And you’ve encouraged us to come together and we’ve collectively wiped out more than 1 BILLION of them! What sort of ecological implications will this have in Splatoon 4? This is HORRIFYING lore wise! We’re canonically just inkling children! We participated in Salmonoid EXTERMINATION!
