I, too, believe that Stu has issues. I think he's much smarter than he lets on, so I think he thinks deeply about all kinds of stuff (that's one of the reason Billy fell for him imo). And I headcanon he has ADHD or ADD or something similar.
That last headcanon though abxjfjejduf it reminds me of fathers talking to their unborn babies through the mother's stomach XDDD

This is for my dude @robin-the-enby 💚 I’m glad you’re doing better, you deserve to feel like the amazing person you are
It’s a tough process and through it all they stand with you
They know that at times you can’t shake off your demons, that at times you can’t give the relationship your all but they don’t mind
Stu always tries to make you laugh and even if he can just earn a small smile from you he‘ll feel accomplished
Billy seems like the kind of guy who would just want to move on but in reality he’s much more sensible to these kinda things than one would assume
Because he does want to move on, he does want things to get better but not by brushing you off but rather by working through this together
If you want someone to vent to Billy will be there to listen and discuss your thoughts cause he knows well what it’s like to have a gloomy mind
While Stu will gladly cheer you up or provide distraction if you call for it whether it’s by just skipping school for a day trip or throwing a spontaneous party- cause who cares about school when it’s your min responsibility right now to recover?
Stu will try to understand Depression better without annoying you with a bunch of questions cause he knows how that sucks (no one can fight me on the fact that Stu has issues too that he’s trying to ignore by being silly)
So they might even drop by your therapist to get a grip on how they can help you as your friends and boyfriends (even tho they’re psychos and avoid anyone smart enough to see through their act of innocence)
They will literally fight anyone who makes a comment on your mood and cover ip for you when you need a few days off for your mental health
If you need some time to yourself they will respect that and turn up with your favourite snacks and a horror movie to watch when you‘re ready for company again
They’re obviously mentally ill too and they embrace their homicidal side but it’s a whole different story when it comes to your mental health
They don’t want you to become destructive against yourself (if anything they encourage you to be destructive against other ppl, like murder yknow 👀 but the main priority is you feeling better)
Tbh they will have a massive urge to just kill off what or whoever is upsetting you but sadly they can’t just stab your depression
