ashkenazi food isnt bland or tasteless, your grandmas just cant cook. (it doesnt photograph well tho, that is true). one thing abt ashkenazim during holidays is that they loveeee the Grey Slop (gefilte fish, calves' foot jelly, chopped liver, etc.) (not me tho)
