How did your first date go?

Azul Ashengrotto - Monopoly

You were dreading the date after the agreed upon activity would be to indulge in Monopoly.

You weren't particularly bad at the game, but when playing against someone like Azul was a variable? What was the point of trying?!

The octopus was very adamant that you should agree to his suggestion. He planned to make it a memorable experience for you!

After returning to Ramshackle to change out of your uniform, you quickly rushed back to the NRC building. You were told to meet him in the room the Board Game Club uses.

You grit your teeth in preparation of a punishing failure, instead, Azul had other things planned for your game of Monopoly.

He is sitting alone at a table which there was no Monopoly board present. Instead…

There were arts and craft supplies.

“Is something wrong? Was my text somehow misleading?”

Azul appeared smug and pushed up on the bridge of his wireframe glasses. The lenses caught the light coming through the window.

This is how you would be playing Monopoly, by making your own game board!

Azul was very open about why and where certain things should go on the board. But, he did tell you to do as you liked. It’s a collaborative piece.

You colored, glued, sketched and created the game board with Azul. He looked pleased with the final product as the sun began to set and you looked over the creation.

He liked the parts you made the most.

Especially the way you designed the 500 dollar bill. You’re so expensive…

Jade Leech - Making a Terrarium

You know that Jade can't dress. So seeing him in such a retro looking outfit was no surprise.

He was waiting in the library. Along the table were shells, stones, plants in small plastic trays, and two large glass jars that were empty.

You would be building a terrarium today! Of course, with Jade's helpful guidance.

You worked step by step as he gently explained everything there was to know. Like why you should always put the stones on the bottom before adding soil. And why he picked the plants he did for today's date. And so on.

"Next time, I'd like to do something that you would like."

Jade's smile was gentle as he continued to instruct you on building your terrarium with plants to care for.

As you finished up, you silently compared your terrarium to Jade's.

His was better, from an aesthetic point of view and from a functional one. But, this was also one of his hobbies. Of course his would be different compared to yours.

Jade reached his hand out towards yours, showing off teal, gold, and milk colored stones that had been molded and shaped into small mushrooms.

He asked if you would include these in your terrarium. Of course, you weren't obligated to.

You smiled and accepted the stones, decorating the inside of your terrarium with the stones that only served to remind you of Jade, and this now unforgettable first date.

Floyd Leech - Swimming

Floyd invited you on a date! Doing what, pray tell?

Swimming.

He wanted to show you how fun it could be with someone as big as him floating around with you!

You were supposed to met him in the Octavinelle dorm with your swimsuit under your clothes. But you didn't see Floyd anywhere.

He texted you, giving directions to meet where the top of the dorm's fish tank was. And you made it. And there Floyd was.

Naked, with nothing but a towel around his shoulders.

"Hi Shrimpy! You made it!"

He waves, but you already had your eyes covered. He tells you how he wanted to scare you by being in the water first, but you're faster than he thought!

With your eyes still covered, you hear a loud splash of the water and then Floyd asking you to get in with him.

When you look, you see how his skin had gone teal, right. That's why he was naked. He's a merman. You should tell him to wear something next time...

You remove your layers and walk over to the top of the tank where Floyd was waiting. The water was so clear and pretty, you could see all of the fish and coral!

You slipped in, the water was a little cold, but with Floyd holding you against his wet body it wasn't so bad.

It had been hours you spent together in the water with Floyd, growing exhausted as he curled his long body around yours, and soon lifted you out of the tank.

Floyd quietly told you that your skin looks like a raisin.
