A Feeling

Character: Sappynappy :) and a socially-anxious reader Theme: A bit angsty-ish, mostly fluffy. Warnings: well, mostly just anxiety talk and mild language. If I forget anything, let me know. Literally this is about a different kind of SMP where him and the reader live together in this little MC town they all helped build. Imagine actually having a house in the DSMP pshhh-

Sapnap was used to being outside. He lived in a town he had primarily helped his friends build, he knew the place well. You, however, had joined late and were so anxious to be outside that you often spent your time in mines, or cooking and making food in the house. Today, though, Sapnap wanted you to come with him.
“I know how you feel about seeing the others, but i think we have quite enough in the diamond department,” He jokes, pulling out stacks of diamonds. You were a bit embarrassed, but you didn’t let it show.
“I just don’t see why the Hell you want me to go with this time. Why not next week?” You throw a stack of raw meat in the furnace, your back now turned to your boyfriend. “Besides, maybe I have plans today..”
“If I let you stay this time and say next week, it’ll be the same conversation every week until one of us gives up. So why not spare the trouble and just come with? All we’re doing is going to see a friend, so I promise it won’t be so bad.” He looks at you with puppy-dog eyes, and you cave. He just has a way to him that you couldn’t describe, and saying no to him was always difficult.
“You know what..? Fine.”
His eyes lit up, and he grabbed your hand. “Don’t worry, Y/N, I’ll hold your hand the whole way! When we get there, Tubbo said he has some honey he can send us home with, and he’s making rabbit stew!” Honey..? You didn’t know what you could do with honey, but it was a nice gesture regardless. Sapnap was just so excited, you couldn’t back out now.
You pulled on your jacket and followed Sapnap out, your heart immediately picking up the pace. The further into town the two of you got, the more your tunnel vision worsened. At some point, Sapnap stopped once he saw how miserable you looked, having you sit down and giving you a bottle of water. You drank slowly, trying to calm down. “I.. I’m sorry. I don’t know why I can’t function.” You laugh it off, feeling like he might hate you for how useless you were out here.
“No, no! That’s okay. I mean it, Y/N. I understand how freaked out you get out here, and that’s why I’m here. I would never let you come out here on your own until you were comfortable enough with it.” He smiled gently, patting the top of your head. “Honestly, I’m just glad you came out here at all. Seeing you want to come out at all to make me happy... that’s what good people do.” He handed you a loaf of bread and pulled you up to your feet. “We’re almost there. Let me know if you need to stop again, okay?” You nodded.
Luckily, you didn’t need to stop again. You got to Tubbo’s little comfy cottage with little issue, and when you stepped inside, you were feeling better. You had never met Tubbo before, but you knew enough about him from Sapnap to know he was a good person. Nobody to be anxious about. Last time you went with Sapnap to a friend’s, you went to see Techno. He was a bit scary, to say the least.
“Hey, Y/N, I heard a lot about you!” Tubbo exclaimed, a bright smile on his face. “Sapnap talks a lot about you. Only good things, of course.” He sets a bowl of rabbit stew in front of you, and then in front of Sapnap, who you realised was still being held in a deathgrip by you. You quickly let go, flushing darkly. Sapnap just chuckled.
“That’s... that’s good.” You manage to smile back, and the three of you enjoy a lovely evening filled with various games and conversations. You even forget that you’ll have to make the walk back home, as well.
