“Ugh, what happened? Is it showtime already?”

Monty brought his hand up to his snout, adjusting his glasses. He sat up and looked off to the side. Expecting to see his green room, what he found instead was the catwalks right above his mini golf.

“What the hell?!?! How did I end up here?”

He couldn’t believe it, so he checked his systems to see what date and time it was.

September 15th, 2026, 3:51 am

How was this possible? Last Monty checked it was the 14th. It was only a couple hours after the birthday party. The band was worried about Freddy, it wasn’t normal for his system to shut down like that. Parts and Service told the band not to worry, and they could see Freddy later. They had all planned on doing just that.

Sure, Monty was a little upset about the show being ruined. But it wasn’t anyone's fault, things like this happen from time to time. He knew that Freddy would beat himself up over this. So, Monty tried to keep his anger in, and not destroy his room this time. He knows that his anger problems have been getting out of hand lately. He doesn’t know why, just a few months ago his anger wasn’t this bad. Sure, he still had shouting matches with Roxy. And he might hit a couple of things, but it never went beyond that.

Until a month and a half ago. Monty’s anger has been getting a lot worse, he started to feel angry half of the time. Destroying his room if angry enough. He had no patience for anything anymore. He even yelled at Chica and Freddy sometimes. And that just made him feel even worse, they didn’t deserve to be yelled at.

He knows that everyone has been stressed lately and acting odd. Roxy was being more overconfident than usual.  She has been talking to herself, he even saw her talking to the mirror a few days ago. And she has been way too competitive with the kids lately. To the point the company almost got a couple of lawsuits on their hands.

Chica has been eating even more than before, she started to eat garbage as well. There have been times when Chica will lock herself in her room for hours. Monty knows for a fact she has been sneaking garbage in there as well. The human staff has been complaining about this, how they keep taking it out, and more just appeared.

Freddy may not show any problems. But he knows that the human staff has been putting pressure on him to fix this. Since Parts and Service can’t fix it, Freddy would be the one who must keep everyone in line. He keeps apologizing for everything, even for things that aren’t his fault. It pisses Monty off whenever he hears him apologizing now, Freddy shouldn’t be apologizing. He hasn’t done anything wrong, it's everyone else that should be. He has heard how some of the staff talk to Freddy. The last time he heard Vanessa talking to Freddy, he had to stay in his room for the rest of the night. No one should talk to Freddy like that. He’s trying his best, and that's all anyone could ask for.

Monty was getting off topic, the point is everyone has been having problems. His anger being the worst of the problems. The last memory he could access from his system was pacing around his room, trying to keep his anger in, and keeping the worry out. His anger was slowly rising. The last thing he remembered was finally giving into the anger and punching the wall.

And that scared him shitless. Did his anger get so bad he blacked out? He has heard of that happening before. But he thought he had enough control of his anger that this wouldn’t happen.

And yet here he is. On the catwalk’s right above his mini golf. With no memories of getting here. Or of the last 10 hours, if his system was right.

He might as well get up and see what damage he’s done. As Monty put his hands on the ground, about to push himself up, that's when he finally noticed that something was on his right hand. He froze, staring at it, he couldn’t even process what he was looking at for a few seconds.

There was blood on his hand.

Blood that was still mostly wet on his hand.

“No, no, no, that isn’t, that can’t be…”

Monty snapped his head up and started to look around. Looking for something, anything to prove that this wasn’t blood. He would take any answer over blood, no matter how ridiculous the answer would be. That's when he saw him.

Monty froze for the second time that night.

There, just about six feet away from him. Was a child, a child with his side covered in blood.

“FUCK!”

Monty jumped to his feet, almost tripping over himself to get to the kid. He didn’t look any older than nine.

Fuck, I messed up. I messed up big time.

Just as Monty was going to kneel next to the kid. The kid’s eyes snapped right open and jerked his head up. And stared right at Monty. The kid let out a scream and threw his back to the floor. His scream cut short and turned into a yelp. His face scrunched up in pain, he crawled backwards away from Monty.

This confirmed Monty’s worst fears.

He had hurt a kid.

His anger got so out of hand, that he hurt a kid.

Fuck, this bad, this is so, so bad.

“Whoa, hey, easy their little guy.”

Monty held his hands up. He wanted to walk to the kid and see how bad his wound was. But he knew that the kid would not accept his help. Fuck, he wasn’t the bot to handle this. He was known as the asshole of the Pizza Plex. The hothead, the tough guy. He wasn’t programmed for this. But he had to try, for the kids’ sake. If he could just get him to first aid, or one of the other glamrocks.

“Y-you stay right there, don’t come any closer.”

The kid was glaring up at him, his brown eyes cold and hard. His body was shaking, from having to hold his body up, and fear of the gator in front of him. But his glare did not weaver, he kept his eyes on him. Daring him to take another step towards him.

Damn, this kid has some guts.

“I won’t, I’m going to stay right here, little guy.”

The kid flinched and scooted back. He shot the gator a confused and baffled look. Like he couldn’t believe what was happening, his eyebrows furrowed.

“Your… Not going to chase me again?”

Fuck, he was doing that? Did he chase the kid around the whole mall? No wonder he looks so exhausted. Who knows how long he was chasing after the kid. He shouldn’t even be here.

“No, I’m not.”

They both took a minute to stare at each other. Monty was trying to get a good look at the kid's body. To see if there was any more blood, it looks like the blood was only on his left side. With small scratches and scrapes on his arms and legs. Bruises all over his body. But he wasn’t sure if that was all. He has seen some kids come in with some bad bruises. And broken bones, he even heard with humans that they could get bruises all the way down to their bones. What if he got both?

Fuck, he hopes that didn’t happen with this kid.

“Little guy, want to tell me what your name is?”

The kid's eyes shot back up to his face, his eyes wide and confused.

“You… You don’t remember me?”

“Nope, the last thing I remember was being in my green room. That was, according to the clock, 10 hours ago.”

The kid’s eyes somehow widened even more.

“Wait, so you’re telling me, that you don’t remember anything that has happened since then?”

“Nope, not a single thing.”

The kid’s jaw dropped, he blinked at him a couple of times. The kid looked speechless, not that he could blame the kids. This must be overwhelming for the poor boy. He gave the kid a minute to collect his thoughts. When it was clear he wasn’t going to say anything else, he spoke up.

“Look, little guy, I know you don’t trust me right now. But we need to get you to a first aid station. I don’t know how bad your side is. But it looks pretty bad from here.”

The kid looked down at his side and winced. His face paled and looked like he was going to throw up. He looked back up at the gator. His lips pressed together, just as he was about to respond to the gator. He was interrupted by a voice coming from his watch.

“Gregory, are you alright? It has been taking you a long time getting through Monty’s golf course. Do you need some assistance?”

Monty felt shock and relief running through his system. Freddy was up, he could handle this. Monty took a step towards the kid. Gregory, before he froze. The kid had whipped his head up. And stared at him, shit he must have startled him. Monty put his hands up once more.

“Hey, it’s alright, can I come a little closer? Just so I can talk to Freddy? I won’t sit right next to you, just close enough for Freddy to hear me.”

Gregory's eyes felt burning, he swore he could feel it right down to his endoskeleton. If he could shiver, he would.

Damn, this kid has that stare down. Bet he’s fun to play with, wish this wasn’t the way we met.

“Gregory? Are you there?”

Gregory finally broke the stare down they were having. Looking down and back up at the gator.

“Promise?”

“I promise, kid.”

The kid gave the gator one last stare. Before nodding and looking back down at his watch. Moving himself to rest against the railing once more. Monty started moving closer to the kid, as he was talking to Freddy.

“I’m here Freddy, I just need to tell you something that happened.”

“What is it? Are you hurt? Do I need to come and get you?”

“Well… I did get a little hurt…”

Monty couldn’t help but give a snort at that. Sitting down about three feet away from the kid.

A little hurt my ass. The kid’s whole side is covered in blood.

Gregory shot him another icy look at him.

“Gregory, what was that noise?”

Monty looked down at the watch in surprise. He had never heard Freddy sound so worried and scared before. Come to think of it, before he joined the band. He thought Freddy couldn’t experience any negative emotions. That thought had changed rather quickly, after a couple of months of being around the bear himself.

“That’s what I need to tell you about. Monty was chasing after me when he ran into some exposed wires. It gave him a bad shock, and I think it knocked out his system. He just woke up. He’s saying the last thing he remembers was being in his room, after that birthday party.”

“Really? That’s great news! Gregory, is it alright if I talk to Monty for a moment?”

“He's right here.”

Gregory held his arm out towards the gator

“Hey Freddy,”

“Monty! I’m so glad you're alright!”

“It’s good to hear you up and running. We’ll have to talk later. I don’t know what happened while I was out of it. But my claws got the kids' side pretty good. We need to get him to a first aid station quickly.”

“What!?!? Gregory, you should have told me that in the first place. Monty, how much blood is he losing?”

“It’s okay, I’m fine, really, Monty is just exaggerating.”

Monty gave the kid a look, glancing down to his side, and back up at him. Pulling his glasses down to get a better look at Gregory. He flinched at the look Monty gave him, and quickly looked away from him. Monty caught the look of fear on his face, before he could turn away completely.

Monty could feel something drop to the bottom of his torso. The feeling reminded him of the time Chica conceived him to eat some pizza. It was greasy, cold, and felt odd, it reminded him of the oil the human staff used on their endoskeleton. To help with their joints, he could feel it dripping down his endo. Leaking out between the seams of his casing. It was the weirdest feeling he had ever felt. He couldn’t understand why Chica ate it so often.

Somehow, this feeling was worse than that. It felt like it was crawling all around inside his casing. It was hard to describe what this feeling was, it felt thick and slimy, and made something inside his wires twist. Like there was something fighting in his casing to get out, either through the seams of his casing, or to travel up his throat and out of his mouth.

It looks like he’ll need a checkup as well. There was so much that went wrong tonight. Now he can add another thing on top of this wonderful night.

Monty shook his head, pushing that odd feeling in his casing aside. He needed to focus on Gregory.

“Yeah, no, the kids’ side is drenched in blood. We need to get him help fast. I don’t know how much longer the little guy can stay awake for.”

Even with Gregory's head turned away, he could tell he didn’t feel well. His skin looked pale, his clothes sticking to his skin with the help of the sweat and blood. His breathing was too heavy. The little guy was shivering like he was outside on a winter day with no coat.

The feeling in his casing got worse the longer he looked at the kid. He looked back down at the watch. Hoping he could push whatever he was feeling aside. There was a long pause before Freddy answered.

“That does sound bad, I’ll locate the nearest first aid station. We may need to go to the med bay, but we can judge if he needs stitches.”

Fuck, I forgot humans had those too. The little guy better not need them.

“I can carry the little guy to the entrance of the course. You focus on finding that first aid.”

Gregory snapped his head back to the gator. His eyes wide and blinking furiously. He couldn’t tell if that was from the water in his eyes, he was keeping from falling, or trying to keep his focus on his surroundings.

He really hoped it was the second option.

“Alright, I’ll see you then. And Gregory…”

“Yeah?”

“Stay strong superstar, just for a little longer. You’ve been so brave tonight, facing all my friends the way you have. Just stay awake until you get to me.”

More tears gathered in the kids' eyes.

“Okay… I will.”

“I’ll see you soon, superstar.”

The watch beeped and the lights on the watch dimmed. The little guy sniffed and wiped his eyes and looked away again. Warping his arms around his chest.

Monty's eyes stayed where they were, now looking at the floor of the catwalk. He couldn’t believe what he just heard.

Facing our friends? Wait, that means everyone has been chasing this kid around?

Monty took another glance at the kid, his head still facing the other way. His shoulders shaking more than the rest of his body.

What the hell happened?

Monty checked his systems once more, to see if there was anything wrong with his system that the restart fixed.

Virus and Threat protection

Past Threats:

Virus detected in Main Server. System disconnected from main server.

Scan performed, virus in system program.

HTTP error 405 - Method Not Allowed.

System restarted in Safety Mode.

Current Threats:

Virus detected

HTTP error 405 - Method Not Allowed.

Monty froze and felt something drop in his chest once more.

Fuck …This is worse than I thought…

Monty didn’t lose control of his anger and blackout. Someone had put a virus in the Main Server. A virus that infected not only his system, but every single electronic thing that is connected to the Main Server. Someone also put unauthorized codes in his system.

In all their codes…

Shit, shit, shit… My systems aren’t the only ones with unauthorized code… That’s what Freddy meant by Gregory facing our friends. That’s why I was able to hurt the little guy.

Monty knew that his coding would stop him from hurting anyone. He may be programmed to be a tough guy, but he wouldn’t seriously harm anyone on purpose. He didn’t hurt Gregory by accident, thinking he was just an object, or aiming for something else. No, something got in his system and changed his very being. So, he could hurt this kid.

Monty has felt a lot of anger in his life. Especially these last couple of months, but nothing compared to this. This wasn’t a selfish type of anger, that he wasn’t the most popular, that Freddy got more attention than him.

This wasn’t anything like that. Someone had used him.

Someone had used his body to chase this poor kid around the whole Pizza Plex…

Someone had used his body to hurt the kid…

Someone had used his friends’ bodies to try and get this kid…

He didn’t know who or what had done this. But there was only one thing he knew at that moment.

I’m going to find whatever did this, and I’m going to make it pay…

“Monty?”

Monty snapped his eyes back down to the little guy. Gregory was looking back at him, eyes red and checks wet. He was giving Monty a concerned look with a hint of fear on his face.

“Are you alright?”

Shit, I need to pull myself together. I can’t lose my temper right now, not until I get the little guy back to Freddy.

“I’m fine little guy, are you ready to go? Or do you need another minute?”

Gregory narrowed his eyes at him.

“I can walk by myself.”

Monty snorted.

“Sure, and Chica hates pizza.”

“I’m serious, I can walk by myself.”

“No offense kid, but you look like a breeze could knock you over.”

The kid pouted, straightening his back to get a better look at the gator. When his face twisting in pain once again. He leaned forward, he tried to curl into himself. He let out a wet gasp and leaned back against the railing. His arms tighten around his body. Monty reached his arms out. Hovering over his body, not sure if grabbing him would make it better or worse.

“Whoa, easy their little guy. Easy, it's okay, um, take some deep breaths?”

Gregory snorted and looked back up at Monty.

“You’re really not good at this stuff.”

“Hey! There is a reason that Chica and Freddy deal with this kind of stuff. And not me or Roxy.”

They sat in silence for a moment before Monty spoke up once more.

“Still think you can walk?”

Gregory glared at the gator, his eyes softening after a moment. Breaking eye contact and looking off to the side.

“I guess not.”

“Soooooo?”

Gregory let out a sigh.

“Fine, I guess I’ll let you carry me to Freddy.”

Even though Monty’s mouth couldn’t move. Gregory could tell that the gator was giving him a smug smirk.

“Yeah, yeah, be all smug about it now. I’m sure you’ll regret it later.”

“I doubt it, kid. Ready for me to pick you up?”

Gregory shot Monty with another intense look. Scanning him up and down, Monty stiffed a little more.

“And you’re sure that you won’t go all crazy on me again?”

“I promise kid, not a single child crazed thought.”

The kid stared into his eyes, searching for something. He must have found something he liked; the next thing Monty knew. The little guy was reaching his arms out to the gator.

Monty reached his arms out and grabbed under his armpits. Hoisting the kid up, the little guy letting out a whine as he did. He stood there for a second, not sure on how to carry the kid for a moment. Before he brought the kid close to his chest. Moving one arm to warp around his knees, and the other around his shoulder blades.

“That feel alright kid?”

“It’s better than the railings, that’s for sure.”

“Good, let's get going.”

“Wait, how are we going to get past all the S.T.A.F.F bots? They are everywhere!”

“Don’t worry kid, I can be sneaky when I need to.”

“Rigggggghhht.”

“Hey! I totally can! Just you wait kid. I can hide you even better than Freddy can!”

“Freddy has a stomach hatch; how can you top that?”

“... Uh, I can, well, I can’t tell you yet. It’s so mind blowing that you won’t be able to handle it.”

“Sure Monty, sure.”

Monty rolled his eyes, trying his best to keep the smile out of his voice.

Looks like he’s less scared of me, good.

Monty started walking to the left.

“Monty?”

“Yeah kid?”

“How are we supposed to get down?”

“Uh... Jump?”

“What!?!? Monty, no, I don’t think that’s a good idea!”

“Sorry kid, it’s the only way down. Hold on tight.”

He crouched down, getting his legs ready.

“MONTY! WAIT! I THINK I SEE A-AAAAAHHHHH!”

“ROCK AND ROLL, KID, ROCK AND ROLL!”

A/N: Well that's the end for this story, don't worry. I plan on doing a whole series on this. I'm calling it A How to Guide for a Gremlin Child to be a Pacifist? (It's Going Better Then Expected). This is part one, more will be coming sometime soon. Sorry for no link for part one, I'm not sure on how to get that to work. Hope you guys like how I wrote Monty. I always have a hard time writing his type of character. I don't think he was too out of character in this.

Monty thinks he has very little emotions, when in reality he has all of them. Gregory isn't quite the gremlin child we all know yet, but he will be. Freddy is at the ready to give him all the love he needs. And what our gremlin will accept for now. Thanks again to @tophthedaydreamer for inspiring this idea, and letting me use her ideas in the future. Buckle up people, its going to be one hell of a ride. Read you guys later! ;)

Read you guys later! ;)
