@sometimes-love-is-enough Hiya. I read this and wanted to chime in. I’m a member of a Star Wars cosplay-stage combat troupe. Yes, you read that right. We meet once a week to coordinate fights using real life sword fighting techniques as well as the seven known forms of lightsaber combat to make it more realistic. I joined completely green but some of my friends are trained in stuff that they teach the rest of us to use in our fights: one knows German long sword, another in Japanese kendo, we have a few fencers, Tai-Chi/Bagua practitioners and even a martial artist/wrestler.

MIN MINUTE MINERVA I AM NOT FUCKING WITH YOU I just went and thought 'hey, chessboxing is cool' looked it up, found a club in my area, signed up, BOOM! It's part D&D and now I will be going twice a week to emotionally torture my character and faer gang while beating the shit out of my opponents and also playing chess in a sundress! This is just my life now!

okay so you're not PHYSICALLY fighting that makes a whole lot more sense. no offense but my followers don't generally seem like the sort of people who engage in physical altercations for recreational purposes (or maybe you do! i don't know this! maybe i shouldn't make assumptions. if you're one of my followers and you happen to be a professional boxer please @ me i need to know for Reasons)
