Walnut St. Bridge in Tennessee is one of the world's longest pedestrian bridges. It connects downtown Chattanooga to the north shore and was built in 1890.

Serious Question Here

I’m currently going to a local college and I’ve decided I want to transfer to a university in Chattanooga, TN (I live in TN). But before deciding I should go to this Chattanooga college, I was looking at Hunter College in NYC. I never finished the application because I decided it would be easier to just go to the one in Chattanooga. 

I love both colleges equally and I’ve never gone to see the one in NYC and every time I ask what my family thinks about me going out of state for college, which is like honestly a dream, they always put down the idea or say that I’ll never like New York or I’ll completely hate it.

I would be fine going to either college, but I feel like I’m meant to be outside of Tennessee, but that goal sometimes feels miles away.

I was curious to know if anyone, even anonymous, what you think I should do or if you have had a similar experience?  

I’m honestly thinking about applying to both and not say anything, but idk...
