If your future partner doesn't want to do that with you every other week, they are not the one!
date idea: we watch band of brothers and you can listen to me ramble about fun facts and behind the scenes knowledge i have for 10 hours
Always important to keep in mind, especially with the way things are now.
the trolley problem vs. systemic oppression: a comic.
Donāt forget not owning a phone, not wearing makeup as a girl(Iām serious), having no background after being raised homeschooled, small/thin stature
Employers donāt seem to care to give you a chance to prove yourself before determining that your skinny little arms arenāt strong enough to carry 25lb bags when youāve stacked 50lb hay bales by yourself, in pain. They donāt give you a chance if you donāt have a āproper education.ā They donāt give you a chance when you some up without makeup because they think youāre not taking the position seriously without makeup on(why??). And they for sure wonāt give you the job if you donāt have a cell phone. Even if you have a house phone they can call if they need you.
Okay, this is the one Iām stuck on, why does it matter that I donāt wear makeup?? So what Iām a girl?? I donāt like makeup. Never have. It feels weird. Iām happy for people that do wear makeup but donāt force me to just so I can get a job!!
Now there are people in worse situations than my own, I currently can afford to get a job. Iām not bashing anyone or saying my problems are worse, theyāre not.
Iām just bringing attention to this.
Fellas. Employers.
Sometimes the hardest workers are the ones you overlooked. Take your time when you hire. Donāt overlook someone based on their appearance. Iāve watched more people get fired or quit during their first month when they were hired quickly. The ones that had to fight for the job stayed for years.
