"MY LADY? WHAT BRINGS YOU HERE?" Clorinde remarks, having seen the all too familiar tuft of blonde hair through the peripheral of her eye. Although her attention lay rapt on changing the oil in her bike, the smell of Navia's floral and fruity perfume was enough to lure out the biker.

"Clorinde, We're going on a heist tonight." Navia speaks up after a while, distracted by how ethereal her girlfriend looked, how even though dirt and oil stained her skin, she looked as much as a puppy as she always did. Her golden eyes looked down upon the woman by her feet. 'Why is she so adorably stupid! '

Immediately, a tense silence took over the cozy atmosphere of the room as Clorinde got up, washing her face. "What for, Navia?" She remarks idly, well maintained fingers tying her long and silky hair into a bun. "Miss Oberoi. She's missing. The commander has issued a get-in get-out mission to rescue her."

Clorinde freezes. Miss Oberoi? The little girl who they found abandoned in a park? Clorinde didn't wish to admit it, but seeing the child reminded her of Navia and she had indeed imagined how they'd fare with a child. That, however, was selfish. Navia didn't know, she probably didn't want kids with her either.

Seeing her loverโ€™s dejected state, Navia kneels, towering over the taller woman as she gently caressed her cheek with her bare hand, having already taken it off through her teeth. Normally, Navia would only touch others through her glove, but for her girlfriend? She might be the only one who has felt the blonde's touch.

"Clorinde." She whispers, and almost immediately, her plum coloured irises bore deep into her golden ones, completely defenseless and relaxed for once. Not many people can say they've seen the champion duelist ever comfortable or even laughing, but those that have, they'd always say it's only in the presence of Navia.

Clorinde's eyes dart down for a moment, avoiding the intense eye contact and taking a deep breath as she tries to clear her mind of all her thoughts. Her eyes then flickered up to look at Navia, her stern and serious expression faltering as her cold and guarded heart melted for her lover. Without a word, she gently grabbed Navia's wrist, pulling her closer to lean forward and rest their foreheads together.

Their breath mingled, warm, close, intimate. Clorinde closed her eyes, the feeling of her girlfriend's heartbeat in perfect synch with hers almost causing her to get lost in the moment. However, her eyes snapped open as she suddenly remembered the girlโ€™s earlier words. "Get-in get-out?" She murmurs lowly, pulling away slightly to look deep into Naviaโ€™s eyes.

"You know youโ€™re not going alone, don't you?"

Naviaโ€™s lips curled up into a smirk, knowing how overprotective her Clorinde was. โ€œIโ€™m fully capable of handling myself, yet I appreciate you being concerned.โ€ She teased, watching as her loverโ€™s frown formed a deep scowl on her lips. โ€œI wasnโ€™t just being concerned.โ€ Clorinde protested, crossing her arms over her chest. โ€œI am going with you, whether you like it or not.โ€

Navia let out a snort of amusement, her smirk widening. โ€œAre you trying to threaten me, my lady?โ€ Clorinde's eyes darkened as a low chuckle escaped her mouth. The corner of her lip curled into a smirk, finding her girlfriend's arrogance amusing. "A threat?" She raised an eyebrow, closing the distance between them once more so that their faces were mere centimetres apart.

She leaned forward, her breath brushing against Navia's ear, her voice a low and dangerous whisper. "Navia, that was a promise."

Navia chuckled, the sultry tone sending involuntary shivers down her spine. She was used to thisโ€”Clorinde being the dominant one when it comes to their relationship, yet she always found it thrilling, exciting even.

Her arms slithered around Clorindeโ€™s strong waist, pulling her even closer until their hips were touching, barely any space between them. Navia smirked, her eyes shining with mischief as she tilted her head to the side. "Oh? Is that so, my knight?"

Clorinde hummed in response, her mouth curving into a sly grin at Navia's reaction. She could feel the heat from her girlfriend's body against hers, the tantalisingly close touches sending jolts of electricity through her veins. Closing the remaining distance between them, Clorinde wrapped her arms around Navia's neck, bringing their bodies flush together.

She leaned her face in closer, her lips mere millimetres away from her ear, her voice a serene whisper. "You can bet your pretty face on it, love."

The journey to the abandoned warehouse was quick and silent, the only sound being the roaring engine of the bike. Clorinde's grip on the handles was tight, her mind occupied with the possible outcomes of what could happen once they got there. Navia sat behind her, her arms wrapped securely around her waist with her head resting against her back.

She could sense the tension in her lover's body, the weight of responsibility heavy on her shoulders. As they arrived at the warehouse, Clorinde's senses were on high alert, her sharp gaze scanning the surroundings cautiously. The air was thick with tension, and a sense of unease settled in the pit of her stomach.

"Stay close," she whispers to Navia, her hand hovering near her hip. "And don't do anything reckless. For once in your life, behave like the good girl I know you can be." Navia rolled her eyes at her lover's overprotective nature, but she knew better than to argue when they were in the middle of a mission.

"I'll behave, love." she replied, her tone a mix of playfulness and caution. "But no promises for fun when we're done here." She gripped her gun tightly, her knuckles turning white as she followed Clorinde inside the warehouse.

As they entered, the warehouse was filled with shadows, the light seeping through the cracks in the walls barely illuminating their path. Clorinde pressed her back against the wall, gesturing for Navia to do the same. She could hear faint voices and movement ahead, indicating that they were not alone.

Clorinde turned to whisper to her girlfriend, her voice low and urgent. "I'll go check what's in there. Watch my back, darling."

Navia wordlessly nodded, keeping a watchful eye on their surroundings as she leaned against the wall, her senses sharp. She knew that while Clorinde was more than capable of handling whatever dangers lay ahead, it was her job to back her up and provide support.

Time seemed to slow down as they waited in the shadows, the voices growing louder with each passing second, building up the tension and anticipation in the air. Time seemed to stand still as the first shot rang out, the sound of it echoing in their ears.

Clorinde's eyes widened in alarm, adrenaline immediately surging through her body as she realised that something had gone wrong. She turned to Navia, the fear and tension evident in her eyes. "Stay behind me, love." She growled through gritted teeth, her hand already reaching for the blade at her hip.

A child came running to them, scared and bleeding out. It was her, Miss Oberoi! Clorinde's eyes widened at the sight of the frightened little girl, her heart aching at the sight of her small frame and the blood staining her clothes. Without a momentโ€™s hesitation, she stepped forward and scooped the child into her arms, wrapping her in a tight but gentle embrace.

"It's alright, sweetheart, youโ€™re safe now." the woman whispers soothingly, her heart clenching as the girl buried her face into her chest, tears soaking her jacket. Looking up, her gaze caught Navia's, a mixture of concern and determination in her eyes. They needed to get the child out of here, now. But before they could even take a step, the sound of footsteps and voices echoed throughout the warehouse.

"What was that explosion?"

"Boss'll be furious if we lost the girl! Find her!"

Clorinde's eyes darkened, her grip on the child tightening protectively. "Navia," she whispered urgently, "We've got company." Navia's heart raced, the impending danger making her blood run cold. She quickly scanned their surroundings, her mind racing to find a way out.

She took a deep breath, summoning her courage and steeling herself for what was to come. "I'll cover your back," she said, her gun at the ready. "You get the girl out of here. I'll hold them off as best I can." Clorinde's heart clenched at Navia's words, knowing all too well that her girlfriend's stubborn and selfless nature would get her in trouble. But there was no time to argue, the footsteps were drawing closer and they needed to act fast.

"Be careful," she replied, her voice firm yet laced with worry. "You better come out of this in one piece, you hear me?" She ran, trusting her life in the hands of the blonde, the small girl in her arms, preparing for all three of them to get away on the bike.

Nodding, Navia positioned herself, her gun cocked and ready to fire. She took a deep breath, mentally steeling herself for the fight that was about to unfold.

"I will. Just focus on getting the girl out of here safe and sound." she called back, her golden eyes meeting Clorinde's for a brief moment, a look of determination and conviction on her face. Clorinde's heart was heavy as she watched Navia position herself, her eyes lingering on her lover for a few seconds before she turned and dashed towards the entrance, the little girl clutching onto her tightly.

As she reached the bike, she buckled the trembling child onto the seat, her hands working quickly to start the engine. Her ears were perked up however, as she heard the sounds of gunfire and shouting from inside the warehouse.

Her heart lurched at the sound of gunfire and shouting, every fiber of her being wanting to go back in and make sure Navia was okay. But she knew that she had to focus on the task at handโ€”to get the child to safety.

With a deep breath, she tore her gaze away from the warehouse and revved the engine of the bike, feeling the powerful vibrations beneath her as she started to ride off, the child clinging onto her.

Clorinde's mind and heart waged war within her. The logical part of her knew that she had to get the child to safety, that her primary concern was the little girl's well-being. But her heart, her love and concern for Navia, was strong.

After a few moments of internal debate, she made a decision. She slowed the bike to a halt, turning it around and heading back towards the warehouse, her expression resolute.

As she approached the warehouse, the sounds of chaos and violence grew louder, each sound like a dagger to her heart. Her grip on the bikeโ€™s handlebar tightened, her knuckles turning white as she steeled herself for what she was about to face.

She took a deep breath as she dismounted the bike, her boots making a soft thud as they hit the ground. She approached the entrance cautiously, her heart pounding in her chest. She could hear the sound of gunfire getting louder, the sound of metal clashing, and the occasional grunts and yells.

With each step she took, her heart grew heavier with worry. Navia was in there somewhere, fighting for her life. The thought of losing her, or worse, her getting hurt made her entire being shiver in fear.

As she neared the entrance, she heard a loud crash from within the warehouse, followed by a familiar voice that cut through the chaos. "Clorinde!" Navia's voice was strained, filled with fear and adrenaline. Clorinde felt a jolt of relief and worry at the sound. Navia sounded injured, her voice wavering with pain.

Without a second thought, Clorinde pushed the doors open and rushed inside. The scene that greeted her was chaotic. The warehouse was in disarray, boxes and crates overturned, and the air filled with dust and the acrid smell of smoke.

Her keen eyes scanned the area quickly until they landed on a familiar figure. There, in the middle of the room, was Navia. She was slumped against the wall, her jacket torn and blood staining her clothing. But her eyes were as fiery as ever, her chin raised defiantly as she faced off against three armed men.

Immediately, she saw red. Without a moment's hesitation, Clorinde dashed forward, her movements swift and precise. She tackled one of the men to the ground, her muscles straining as she overpowered him. He went down with a pained grunt, his gun clattering to the ground.

The other two men spun around, their expressions shocked, then hardening at the sight of her. But she was already moving, closing the distance between them with dangerous speed. With a well-placed kick, she disarmed the second man, his gun flying out of his grasp.

He stumbled backward but soon regained his balance, his gaze hardened as he charged at her. Clorinde dodged his clumsy attack and countered with a punch to his gut, sending him sprawling to the ground with a satisfying crunch.

The third man watched the whole scene unfold, visibly shaken. He raised his gun and aimed it at Clorinde, his hands trembling slightly. Clorinde felt a flicker of concern, but before she could make a move, a shot rang out and the man crumpled to the ground, clutching his heart.

"You were taking too long, partner." Navia called out, her voice strained but filled with a hint of a smile.

Relief flooded Clorinde's heart. Navia was alive, and she was even able to take down one of the men. She turned her gaze to her girlfriend, taking in the sight of her bloody clothes and the weary look on her face. Her biceps flexed as she picked up the woman, quickly mounting her bike. She made the child hold onto her, once again revving the bike as Navia sat behind, still shooting.

As they started to ride away, Clorinde glanced back at the warehouse, the sound of gunfire fading into the distance. The adrenaline was still pumping through her veins, her heart racing with both the excitement of the fight and the worry for Navia's condition as she drove off to their safe haven as the Caspar family.
