Clown Month Art - Tumblr Posts
Today’s prompt is “float” so I decided to redraw and older piece of Brenda doing an aerial routine! Definitely is an improvement, partly because I used an actual reference XD
@clownartmonth
I decided to make a character design with today’s prompt, “SeaFoam!”
Basically made a…. “vintage boardwalk carnie siren clown girl” and I love her XD
Tomorrow’s prompt “stardust” will probably be me making her a friend!
@clownartmonth
So the GIF I made was way too big so we gotta use a video instead XD
Oh well-
So this is the entry for yesterday’s prompt “hairstyle” and I absolutely loved this! Making all these different hairstyles was fun; if you can get the cursed hairstyle you get a high five
@clownartmonth
The prompt “sticker” was kinda obvious; I took Brenda and made her more of a decora kei chaotic rainbow queen! Definitely had a lot of fun making this look unapologetically bright asf—
@clownartmonth
I decided for the “window” prompt I’d do a piece that’s a bit more melancholy; a clown sad about the rain cuz I’ve been dealing with on and off rain as of recently XD
Sorta looks like a story book!
@clownartmonth
Lacey’s Wardrobe lookin—
You can’t give me the prompt “fashion” and think I WON’T make a dress up game inspired piece off of it! Seriously I’m so proud of this-
@clownartmonth
Yesterday’s prompt, “insect!”
I was motivated mostly by me being so upset that cute little butterfly girl from the movie If is from a movie where the director(same guy who made A Quiet Place) actually rips off story ideas a bunch
So this was self healing of me making a ballerina butterfly clown toon girl—
@clownartmonth
I decided to use the prompt “whimsy” for the art style rather than the subject of the art! I used an art style reclaimed by artists since originally it was used by an AI “artist” XD
I call this “The Cycle of Sadness,” and absolutely love this
@clownartmonth
Up tonight we have Nurse Boo for the prompt “Doctor!” Sure she’s a nurse, not a doctor, but it still counts-
@clownartmonth
For the “Otherwordly” prompt, I decided to bring back an alien clown I designed last year for Clown Month! Only this time I made her be in a piece more inspired by Lisa Frank, using some of those filter methods I used on the “whimsy” piece. I absolutely love her!
@clownartmonth
Today is National Lemon Meringue Pie Day! The perfect holiday to do art for yesterday’s prompt, “holiday!” Featuring my little clown gal Patty Flip!
@clownartmonth
The prompt “spectacle” immediately reminded me of Jordan Peele’s movie “Nope,” so I decided to do a portrait piece inspired off of the movie featuring my rodeo clown character BangBang the Bandit!
Very fun to explore-
@clownartmonth
The prompt “mythology” definitely gave me so many options I didn’t know where to start; so I used a list and a number generator, and we settled on making a clown gorgon! Introducing Clowndusa! Yes, she’s basically a giant peanut brittle snake in a can prank XD
A friend suggested her tail reference a clown morph ball python cuz...you know
And then I gave her some worms on a string for her snake hair cuz I found another clown Medusa that used that idea and I absolutely wanted to try it with my own take XD
Hope you all love her!
@clownartmonth
A friend suggested I draw Sweet Tooth for today’s prompt, “tailor!” Which I definitely was gonna hop on cuz I love this guy so much; didn’t think the new show would be able to put him in a sympathetic life when he was last seen wanting to kill his daughter but...they did it!
@clownartmonth
Time to catch up on the Clown Month prompts! First up is “Feather,” featuring the character Sally SweetTooth made by my friend Zane!
@clownartmonth
For “malice” we got a character that was custom designed by my friend @pencilweaver!
I’m so happy with this pose you guys you have no idea
@clownartmonth
Finally is today’s prompt, “shine!” Featuring my character Lollygag Reflex, performing for the spotlight while she owns up to her last name!
@clownartmonth
We’re doing a batch of 3 again fellas XD
The Museum prompt immediately made me think about the game Exhibit of Sorrows, which I think all of you should go check out-
I decided to redraw it as close to the game’s style as I could, which was really fun!
@clownartmonth
Next up is the prompt “Rhythm!” Originally I had another idea, but I decided to save it for later! Don’t worry though, it’ll still include this cute outfit I gave Brenda-
The drawing is inspired off a piece of art by the artist for Tokidoki!
@clownartmonth
For “acrobatics” I did a simple pose practice with Brenda! She is a contortionist/acrobat clown after all!
