as a followup its great that so many gay male skaters feel secure and supported enough to come out but where are my lesbians? lots of other women’s sports have a significant population of queer athletes yet where are they in figure skating? also on that note I think it’s so funny that the NHL is like ‘no gay in here no sirree’ when women’s hockey literally has a problem with team Canada and team usa players marrying each other and having babies (https://www.them.us/story/usa-canada-womens-hockey-weddings). same with american basketball where there’s zero openly LGBT players in the men’s league but in the wnba some of the best players (ex. Brittney griner, sue bird, Diana taurasi, Sheryl swoopes) are  openly queer. it's like the men are over here still going ‘no homo’ when they express an emotion that’s not anger while the women are marrying each other and having each other’s babies. 

can’t believe they made a figure skating anime called ‘yuri on ice’, made it gay, but the gay was a m/m relationship??!! that’s like making a lesbian figure skating anime called ‘yaoi on ice’.
