If there was one thing Daphne had learned from her stepfather about her absent mother, it was that Louise Stevens had been born with a knack for theater acting.
So it was no wonder Daphne inherited the talent of performing, or better said, pretending. She had always been a great pretender.
She pretended to be fine more times than she cared to count. She pretended to be interested in things she really couldn’t give a shit about. She even fooled herself and pretended to not have feelings for her best friend.
