I’m working on a Don’t Hug Me. I’m Scared fanfiction at the moment based around Shrignold and her life in the Love Cult. I feel like most people when they think of the cult they usually think of the homophobia on the episode, but there is also a bit of purity culture wrapped in there, too, and I feel like making Shrignold a girl would probably help show that more. I feel like as a cis girl who kind of always questioned things in the Bible. I feel like that this would kind of just show some of the like hypocrisy and misogyny of like the church. the story is OC X cannon and basically the plot is that Shrignold reunite with a childhood friend of hers named Rosemary, and like sort of develops a crush on her, but doesn’t know it, because internalized homophobia. They at one point begin a sexual relationship of sorts, because Shrignold wants to “learn how to please her future husband.” And since Rose is not a virgin and has been with other women, she believes that she can help. Shrignold instead begins discovering her sexuality but feels terrible guilty being a Priestess of Malcom who believes in “Saving your love for you Special One”. A dhmis oc I made
Hoops is a defective teacher that was originally supposed to teach about asking for help and helping others, she refused to harm the 3 and became as stuck as them in return.
Despite being a female, Hoops is rarely referred to as she/her, instead she is referred to as any pronoun that pops out of others mouth’s. Harry usually uses they/them, Robin almost always uses it, sometimes he/him and Manny just goes with whatever. Hoops herself doesn’t mind this
She is almost possessive of those she considers under her care and will get anxious not seeing them, and will therefore tail them around the house.

Hoops does not like the carehound after what it did to Robin, even though Robin can be rude and mean, she does not like other messing with him or the others. The only ones that can bite and maul them is each other.

Speaking of dragging, I feel like it’s overlooked a lot that Manny is very strong, in fact, Manny has a thing for carrying Hoops around. He will do it all the time almost like a stuffed animal, she doesn’t mind and lets it happen, although her bottom half drags along the floor because the size difference.
Today sadly the carrying isn’t just for fun :(

Hoops and Harry have a real passive aggressive relationship, where it’s mostly chill but it can go from 0 to 100 real quick.
Hoops acts a lot like an actual dog around Harry and will do things from loafing on the lounge chair with him to begging for scraps when he’s cooking
Usually she instigates the fights but mostly unintentionally, she isn’t good at realizing she’s pushing buttons, but Harry will almost always throw the first punch. When they fight it’s always noisy because she barks. Most of the physical fights happen on top of Harry since she climbs him.
The fight usually ends with Hoops being bodily tossed…
My human Harry for my au, where he basically manages to cross from the puppet world to the human world, and is trying to just live his life blending into society while also avoiding Roy.
The puppet world is a place located in a smallish pocket dimension with the house in the centre, which was created by Roy. Everything and everyone that is in there is created by him as well.
Teachers are semi aware of this, so Hoops who is a defective teacher is slightly aware that there is a way to escape but is confused as to why trying to leave is impossible in the more traditional ways (running, driving etc).
Things continue as originally with Hoops added in until Harry finds the machine, where he finds out about his world and a way to get to the human world. He manages to escape Roy and run back to the house to tell the others. The teachers attack them and kill the others leaving Harry the only survivor.
He takes a memento of each of the others and books it back to the machine and activates it to go to the human world, his body changing into a body the world could support, although some of his original body remains leaving him not exactly human.
After arriving he quickly leaves into the forest to reorientate himself in the new world.
He misses them….

First page are teachers from the YouTube series, and Riley, while most of the second page is the teachers from the TV show, except the last two who are Sid characters from the YouTube series.
I’ve made a lot of concepts for this oc but while drawing his final design I decided to give him extra arms. I think it looks really good :)
