I know its a long shot but just imagine Doug being a good grandfather to Dev. He's always busy so he never gets a chance to visit and he happens to visit after the birthday episode and sees how miserable Dev is and he's like "Dale what the fuck." Its kinda fucked up for Dale but just imagine Doug using Dev to make up for not being there when Dale needed him.
Im thinking about Doug Dimmadome being a good father and grandfather but he is so fucking busy all the time. Like he loved the hell out of his son but he's always doing shit because he's DOUG DIMMADOME so Dale grew up kinda messed up because he didn't have the support he needed after his escape. Doug Dimmadome is kinda a shitty capitalist guy but he loves his family.
