I went on a road trip to Dublin with the Cork Drink & Draw crew over the weekend, and it was seriously so, so much fun! The weather was fantastic, there were tons of events planned, and - since I joined relatively recently - I loved having the opportunity to better acquaint myself with the group's many talented, welcoming, supportive members.
As part of the trip, we went to Dr. Sketchy's; which is a kind of quirky, sultry, burlesque-themed monthly figure drawing class. It was a very different and pleasantly informal way of practising figure drawing, I really enjoyed it! I found it super challenging, too, particularly the minute-long sketches... phew. Anyway, here are the last few sketches I completed at it.
After a crazy month of cons and also procrastinating cleaning the giant ink smudge off my scanner, I finally scanned last month's Dr. Sketchy's session. These are the one, two, five and ten minute sessions. I know my 20 minutes are somewhere in my studio....

Dr Sketchy's came back this month! It was a ton of fun and we had three different and fantastic models. Here are some of my five minute sketches and 20 minute ink and watercolor pieces.
I've been in the process of moving to a new place, getting my studio reassembled and internet reconnected, so I missed uploading July's Dr. Sketchy's! Enjoy :)
