[Ladybug smiled at the little cat, kneeling down slightly so they were on the same level. With a swift motion, she’d taken out one of her red ribbons, and she held it out for the cat to see, a playful expression on  her face.]

“Wanna play?”

he is so transfixed and so mystified by the bright red that doesn’t shy away when the crimson-clad girl kneels down, flittering the ribbon in front of his face ------ which, true to any feline presented with such a distraction, he gets incredible excited. ears perk forward quickly, pupils round- ing as atticus hunkers down, shakes his back end a few times, and LUNGES for the red string, mewing happily.
