More Mythical Creature Ideas/Re-Imagines

Since the platonic-feeding succubus/incubus post went over so well I’ve been working on more! > : 3

Demons and Angels

❧ Incubus/Succubus that feed off of other people’s affection/love for each other. (Normally found following cupids around for their food source.) (Will happily third wheel for a free meal.)

❧ Cupids whose jobs are to get platonic soulmates together. (And another smaller section of cupids who get strictly sexual soulmates together.) (Just imagine lots of specialized cupid forces/departments.)

❧ Demons who are the anti-version of Cupids. Basically their jobs would be to break up as many happy couples as possible. (A few rebel Anti-cupids decide to break up unhappy/unhealthy relationships instead.) (Some of the rebels are even friends/acquaintances with Cupids so they’ll sometimes steer the people toward them after the break up.)  

❧ Demons and Angels that are actually small enough to fit on your shoulders {as in that’s their real size instead of just a projected image/illusion}. (Some guardian angels prefer to ride around on top of their charge’s head while others will constantly flit back and forth around them like a large, excited bug.) (When demons {like succubi and incubi} are giving you dreams/nightmares they’re actually asleep as well, but are physically curled up around your head, neck, or on top of your chest like little kittens.)

❧ Guardian angels specifically for pets. (When wild animals die, they can be chosen to become guardian angels of house pets.) (When pets die, however, they wait up in heaven for their owner{s}/person/family.)

Vampires and Werewolves

❧ Vampires who feed off of tears instead of blood. (Sweet vampires who kiss the cheeks of friends/family/etc at graduations, weddings, and other such special occasions in order to taste and share in their happiness.) (Rude vampires who push away someone trying to comfort another person whose crying and just licks their face without warning.)

❧ Vampires that are allergic to artificial/electric light instead of sunlight. (They’re not afraid of going outside during the day, but they are wary of going inside places especially during the night.) (”You have to be, like, invited inside, right?” “No, I just need you to tuRN OFF those blasted man-made lights.”) (Or they even could each be allergic to specific kinds, such as black-lights.)

❧ Werewolves that only transform fully/loose control during the new moon instead of the full moon. (It turns out the moonlight helps them control/soothe their more savage/destructive instincts.) (Howling at the moon is for werewolves the equivalent of breathing exercises for people having panic attacks.)

❧ Werewolf packs actually consist of all types of wild canine species {hyenas, coyotes, jackals, etc.} and vampire flocks consist of all sorts of flying creatures {birds, butterflies, moths, etc.}. Wolves and bats just happen to be the ancient royal families of both sides, thus taking all of the fame and having more myths/legends written about them.

Other/Miscellaneous 

❧ Dryads become endangered species so a group of “hunters” decide to change their title/status to “protectors”. They gather up the last remaining seedlings{babies} and build and design a greenhouse for them to stay in. Until, that is, the plantlings{toddlers} are old enough to carry around safely in pots. Other mythical families then travel to the greenhouse to adopt, take them home, and raise them. (I know I took severe liberties when it comes to how dryads work for this one. But that’s the point of these! They’re re-imagines! ; D)
