I finally watch the VOD, and damn it’s like a fucking movie, and slime and c!quackity made me cry. that’s is all

when i was making this angsty thing based on the one quote

“was it worth it? i've been watching for a long time and it seems that when one person lashes out, so does the other, until they're both gone. so is revenge ever worth it?” -charlie

and when coming up with conflicts and interpreting what it means when they’re both gone, i realized quackitys never truly gone.

every time he gets stepped on, every time he loses everything, every time his trust is broken, he isn’t gone. he builds right back to the top from the ground.

dream is in prison (i don’t feel like that statement will age poorly at all today), wilbur and tommy have been perma killed (and resurrected, but does that mean they’re all here and intact?), schlatt has been perma killed, karl is losing everything along with his memory. they’re all gone.

but quackity has never been gone. he is a parasite. he is always there and will always be there. his purposes (there are many but wanting power has always been a key factor) has always fueled him to get back up every time he is stepped on.

his political partner slept through the election? pair up with another party to win. second political partner was abusive and tyrannical? gain the trust from the other side and take him down. butcher army didn’t work? join sides with technoblade. fiancés and friends forgot about you? build a country from the ground up, gaining alliances along the way.
