Effy - Tumblr Posts

You know, she was four years old the first time she beat me at hide and seek. Four. I was looking for her for hours. When I finally found her she just smiled. You know, that Effy smile that means “you don’t know me at all, you never will”. See that’s a kind of magic. She’s so good at concealing things, hiding, avoiding.

What if I said I would break your heart? What if I said I have problems that made me mean? What if I knew I would just rip your mind apart? Would you let me out? Maybe you can stop before you start Maybe you can see that I just may be too crazy to love If I told you solitude fits me like a glove Would you let me out?

— You think you know death, but you don’t, not until you’ve seen it, really seen it… And it gets under your skin and lives inside you. You also think you know life, stand on the edge of things and what you go by but you’re not living it, not really, you’re just a tourist, a ghost, then you see it, really see it, it gets under your skin and lives inside you, and there’s no escape, there’s nothing to be done, and you know what? It’s good, it’s a good thing. And that’s all I’ve got to say about it.

Fire; is related to the process of change. Fire suggests the desire to change, to speed up the passage of time, to bring all life to its conclusion, to its hereafter. In this sense, all that changes slowly can be explained by life while all that changes quickly can be explained by fire. Through fire everything changes.
Pure; is referred to the freedom from anything that contaminates, pollutes, etc; freedom from guilt or evil, to be of innocence; free from moral taint or defilement.
Rise; is related to the Existentialism movement of writing. It often focuses on the personal journey towards existential awareness. Common themes include alienation and confrontation with death, often lead the “anti-hero” towards a climactic choice that defines whether they have reached true understanding.
