ok but imagine Kara as a teen, bored out of her mind as she sits in high school classes that teach what she learned as a baby. Imagine Kara sneakily taking the GED online and just not telling anybody. Kara sneakily enrolling herself in online degree programs, finishing actual college degrees in her spare time. Kara Danvers technically having a dozen or so legitimate degrees before she’s even 21 in a ridiculous range of subjects
But imagine, Eliza shows up at the tower and starts helping everyone and suddenly she sees a figure, back hunched, hiding before a computer screen.
Dark bags under her eyes and the exhaustion almost physicially feelable.
It`s Lena. Lena Luthor. The girl her daughter talked about on every phonecall. The best friend Kara had ever hand and her sole reason to stay Kara Danvers. She remembers that girl from a thanksgiving a few years back and though she knows that the last year was though on their relationship, she knows that Kara would want her to help.
Would want Lena not to be alone in these times.
So she does the only logical thing, she aproaches Lena. The young woman jumps at the sight of the unfamiliar figure. "Mrs Danvers?"
"Hello Lena." Eliza tries to be calm, tries not to show her own fear because Lena seems as though she is on the verge of a breakdown.
"You know, I really think you should take a break. Eat and drink something and definetly take a shower!"
Lena just stares at her. "I can`t."
"And why is that?"
"Because I am the reason she`s trapped in that horrible place."
Eliza sees the tears and without thinking, she wrappes her arms around the youngest Luthor, embracing the girl that had been broken down so many times.
"Why are you helping me?", Lena asks, her voice hoarse and her face still buried in Eliza`s shoulder.
"Because Kara loves you. And if my daughter thinks that you're worthy of her love, then so do I."
And Eliza wonders as to when either of the girls are ready to admit their feelings.
yeah... not the sience side, but at least Lena got help?
