Israel, like all settler-colonial projects, is built on lies. The lie is that the land historically belongs to the colonisers.

The lie that Palestinians have no national identity. The lie that Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East. The lie that peaceful settlement is thwarted by the Palestinians rather than the apartheid Israel state.

This mendacity is especially prevalent when Israel carries out its murderous assault against the Palestinians, including the current Genocide in GAZA. The Hebrew word for this propaganda is HASBARA or EXPLANATION.

HASBARA is a combination of agitprop, propaganda, and censorship; it is designed to ensure unity among the Jews in Israel and abroad, sustain the support of allies, especially the US, discredit and delegitimize critics who are branded - even if they are Jewish ✡️- As antisemites, and control the narrative within the media and academia.

HASBARA is designed to obscure and neutralize the gross violations of human rights and international law that define Israel's occupation. The effort included the maintenance of websites, social media accounts, and messages under false identities as well as the MANIPULATION of BROWSER FUNCTIONS, ENGINES, ALGORITHMS, and other automated mechanisms to CONTROL what information is presented and what is OBSCURED to the Internet users. Satellite organizations - Including the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the Canary Mission, and CAMERA or the Committee for Accuracy in the Middle East Reporting in America - Along with Hillel Houses, Jewish campus organizations carry out often vicious coordinate campaigns of CHARACTERS OF ASSASSINATION against those who champion Palestinian rights and denounce the apartheid state.

Just in case I haven't been explicitly clear on this

This blog supports PALESTINE

If you are a:

zionist

apartheid apologist

white liberal settler

genocide denier

someone who considers themselves neutral

have the AUDACITY to suggest a "two-state solution"

Not-so-kindly fuck off. If anyone supports Israel after their joke of a presentation today, I genuinely and truly believe you have the comprehension, intelligence and moral sense of right and wrong comparable to a fucking toddler and even that is an insult to toddlers.

Hell is hot for the oppressors and everyone who aids them and I wish nothing but the worse for them.

a digital bust portrait of Ahmed Aburaida, a real-life Palestinian man with short black hair, dark brown eyes and light brown skin. he has a uniform beard, there's a small mole below his left eye, a few wrinkles on his forehead and his hair has some gray streaks. Ahmed wears a blue undershirt, a darker blue hoodie and a dark green coat overall. he looks at the viewer with a neutral, if not exhausted expression. the background is yellow with the pattern of a keffiyeh overlaid. props include a white halo behind his head, floating red poppies around his face and his name "احمد ابوريده" written in Arabic, with a heart-shaped Palestinian flag just below Ahmed's name.

hi all, this is Vinca, the artist of the drawing in the left, i'm shàring this for my friend who was the muse of it. Ahmed Abu Raida just launched a gee-eff-em for his family

🍉 help Ahmed's family directly

Ahmed's words from instagram:

We launched a fundraising línk, and it is a personal matter of mine. I hope to reach my goal with your support and participation. Everyone knows the conditions we live in here in Gaza due to the Israeli terrôrist war. Two months before the war, I had a thermal procedure on the lower back, neck, and knee, but unfortunately, because of this war, the operation failed. Due to my lack of rest, due to homelessness and displacement, I will fly again after the end of the war to perform a thermal radiofrequency operation. I ask you to participate widely and donate to my personal campaign. In fact, I am ashamed of myself when I ask for donations for myself, but this is the bitter reality that we have reached because of the Israeli terrorist war, and just as we need it. We are making repairs to our house after it was exposed to both Israeli artillery shells. I ask everyone to participate widely and share the donation link in your story. Please boost, share, donate. The donation link is in the bio, the first link 🇵🇸✌️

[Headline] South Africa’s case was ‘very impressive’

Thomas MacManus, senior lecturer in state crime at the School of Law, Queen Mary University of London, tells Al Jazeera that South Africa’s case was “very impressive”.

“They set out in a very concise way some devastating accusations strung together in such a legally sound way,” MacManus said, adding that he was impressed by the way its representatives presented the conduct and intent as well as their points related to jurisdiction.

South Africa’s arguments related to the urgency of the case, MacManus said, will be “the most devastating” from Israel’s point of view.
[Headline] ‘ICJ heard most detailed, gruesome case in its history’

By Step Vaessen / Reporting from The Hague

We have just listened to three hours of very detailed descriptions of what South Africa says is a very compelling case of genocide that Israel is now committing in Gaza.

South Africa is asking the court to quickly decide on urgent provisional measures to ask Israel to stop whatever it is doing: Military action, mass displacement, depriving Gazans of food, shelter, water, and basic healthcare.

Historians, who have been following the ICJ for many years, say that this is the most detailed, most gruesome case so far.
[Headline] South Africa’s case ‘extremely compelling’

Speaking to Al Jazeera outside the court in The Hague, professor Alanna O’Malley says, “This is a historic case.”

“We see from the invocation of the various articles of the Genocide Convention by the South African legal team the ways in which they are going to structurally present this case,” she said, calling it “extremely compelling” and “well organised”.

“We’ve heard only three parts so far of the whole, we see the evidence in both video and in image to be extremely powerful. We also see the evidence gathered from a variety of sources which really adds to its veracity and its strength.”

[Headline] South Africa’s lawyers showed Israel’s genocidal war did not start on October 7

Al Jazeera’s senior political analyst Marwan Bishara says it was very important that South Africa’s lawyers started out by showing the history and context of Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza.

They showed that “what we see today unravelling in front of our eyes – the genocide – did not start on October 7, that there is a long history of genocide and apartheid, discrimination, hate speech, war crimes and so on since 1948”, he said.

“The second thing that was very important was that it showed there was a pattern on the part of Israelis both since October 7 and before to actually cause harm to the Palestinian people as a collective.”
