"Too Bad" pt.1

Warnings: Cursing, use of y/n, reader has daddy issues, reader is a virgin although it isn't mentioned yet, angst

Summary: Y/n and matt have been enemies since high-school but what happens when matt drunkenly confesses to her one night?

A/n: hello lovely people! This is my first ever time writing a fic and I'm not sure if I'm actually any good at writing so please let me know how it is :)

"I love you."

Y/n stood in the bathroom of some random party hearing her enemy's confession.

"What?.." she couldn't make out any other words and was very confused.

"You heard me, y/n" "no...you're lying." "I'm not-" "Yes, you are! You're just drunk Matthew!"she cuts him off.

"Just listen." He says pleadingly.

I look up at him to let him know im listening.

"Y/n I have spent years loving you I always did. Even when you wore those stupid pigtails everyday in high-school. At first I tried to show you but when you ignored me and hung out with Chris I got so mad I promised myself I would never talk to you again-" "so why are you doing this now?" I cut him off again.

"Because I cant stand it anymore y/n! I see you with Chris and he's got his hands all over you! Please just...give this a chance."

"I'm sorry..." i said apologetically.

The reason wasn't that he was an asshole or even that he had bullied me for years. It was because he reminded me of my abusive father who left and that's what made him so unbearable to be around.

The worst part was he knew it and he used it against me.

"Are you fuckin' with me y/n?" "No i-" "I just got all fuckin' sappy n shit infront of you and all you have to say is that you're sorry!?"

"You...should go..." I said waiting the best for him even if that meant forgetting me.

He looked pissed but muttered some curse words while he left and slammed the door behind him harshly causing me to flinch.
