People, I am torn. I want to do a Dark Urge. And further research has led me to this Durge being a Paladin. Oath of Devotion, because there's something delicious in the idea of this person who is hard-wired to murder and depravity trying their utmost (sometimes failing, but still trying) to be the sort of shiny idealistic hero you find in storybooks.

I am, however, still trying to figure out a romance. On the one hand, Karlach is wonderful and I need a Karlach romance, and also rolling up in a relationship with her to fuck Gortash up is all the more delicious when there's that pre-existing relationship between pre-amnesia Durge and Gortash. On the other, everyone has some really interesting meta about Astarion and Durge, and that would also be really neat. Romancing either one of them with a paladin is liable to be delicious, though.

So, I'm having a vote, just to help me figure out what I want to do. Please put additional reasons for supporting your choice in the replies.

I think the story your crafting with this character would work deliciously as a Durge x Karlach run I love astarion as much as the next person but this just seems like you get the most narrative impact from a Karlach run especially in act 3 with your interactions with Gortash both options have great potential though baldurs gate 3 karlach astarion dark urge bg3 enver gortash
