You had never been the most pious, nor the type of person to rely only on the will of fate. So when you were faced with unknown dangers without any other options, you weren’t sure how to handle yourself–you weren’t sure you were going to survive the journey alone, especially as you were led over gnarled roots and down winding paths through the forest, trails that only someone who had helped to create them would be able to follow.
