Once a Father...
Alucard-Vlad father's day. I just decided to write short head cannon of Alucard that Father's Day applied to him too.
(The British started to observe Father's day after WWII)
•Before you came to Hellsing, Father's Day was just day and night.
It was nothing of interest.
If anything it was annoying.
Then your second year at Hellsing, you're passing Alucard in the hallway, so simply say, "Happy Father's Day Vlad.."
Alucard stopped in his tracks with a confused look. Did he hear you right?
"(Y/n) why are you wishing me a happy Father's Day?"
"Well you were a father once," you pause to find the words. "You tried the best one for your children, yes?"
"Mmm, indeed I did try with the circumstances of that time period…" he hums softly.
"Did you love them?" You inquire.
"Da. Draga mea/meu, I did and my first wife was also based on love," he seems distant for a moment. "As all know the second was a traditional political and economic reason."
"Then you and I should do something to remember good things that were in your life today…" you shrug your shoulders.
•You now continue in the direction you were heading. He heads to his quarters while processing your words. As Alucard sits down on his throne and he indeed remembers being a father. All the good parts and the sorrowful when his genetic line died away.
He does have a right to be proud on this day too…
