DAY 1: Feh Outfit Prompt Jumpscare!!! (but we gotta start with the default fit)

So I need to get back into the swing of things art wise and decided to use this prompt list as a vehicle to do this. I am only allowing myself to spend a day on em, so wish me luck!

DAY 2: New Years!!!

Guys playing dress up with Kiran is so fun actually. I want to give them the fluffy hood all the time now.

DAY 3: Day of Devotion!!!

Oughhh I really like this one. Something about Kiran Day of Devotion alt makes me feel things.

This one also comes with some bonus sketches/unfinished wips, because I've actually been playing with the idea of a Kiran and Anna duo alt for a while! Just never refined them into a more complete illustration, you know? But now feels like a good time to share!

Look at those wips! Might one day come back around to them who knows.

DAY 4: Spring!!!

Well this one was difficult! I want to keep tweaking it but I am sticking to the one per day schedule and this is good enough! Sometimes you got to accept that this is the first draft and move on. I can play with this idea more in the future.

Learned a lot tho! I previously thought of the spring alts as just the playboy bunny alts, but they're a little more interesting than that. Its more about the outfit being tailored and fitted. Which is cool! But also bad because I'm designing for Kiran Fire Emblem. I could not get the hood and their androgynous vibes to work with a highly structured tailored outfit in the time I had, so I compromised. But I will be back for round two some day just you watch. In the meantime take a tiny peak at the body type I like to give them that usually gets covered up by all the layers.

DAY 5: The Children!!!

"Hey, are you dead?"

"Kiran!!! You can't just ask someone if they're dead!"

"And you can't just poke dead people with sticks."

Soooo I started having fun and ended up making two! One for our normal hooded Kiran and another for the ginger summoner! Entered to the realm of head cannon. Other summoner thoughts breaking containment once more.

DAY 6: Bridal!!!

AND WE'RE BACK! NEVER LET ME DRAW RUFFLES AGAIN!

Had to pause the daily drawings for a minute because it was my birthday recently! Yippee!!! I have aged!!! And as a birthday present I tormented myself with many many ruffles.

Spring alt and bridal alt shaking hands over my grave tho. I feel like where the execution of the spring alt was alright but the vibes were off, the bridal alts execution needs improvement but the vibes are on point. Super want to iterate on it in the future. Playing with that veil sounds so freaking fun.

DAY 7: Summer!!!

Kiran summer alt real!!! Much like the Day of Devotion alt, I was actually toying with a design for this a while back, but never got around to cleaning it up. Which means its bonus sketch time! Yippee!

So this started as me wanting to draw that summer Sharena design after seeing xander-wolk take a crack at it, which you can find here. It was meant to be more of a warm up sketch but next thing I knew all four of my guys are on screen.

Then I explored the outfit a little more. Debated giving Kiran more dangly bits. But I ultimately settled on what usually works when drawing Kiran; throwing a coat on it.

But seriously this is the highest compliment, because this is actively what I’m trying to do when it comes to how I draw Kiran! I really want to convey how unabashedly charming this silly little tactician is. It helps explain how they keep the order intact on a social level and also why this keeps happening:

Anyway I won’t lie, I did all this for the Loki bit. Please imagine that she’s just off screen for all these outfits hitting that exact pose.

DAY 8: Brave!!!!

Honestly? This went WAY better than I thought it would! Extremely satisfied with my work here.

My premise for this alt started taking shape when I decided to give Kiran Fólkvangr. Initially I did this because I thought it would be funny if they're holding onto it for Brave Alfonse, but then I remembered that Kiran actually has experience with fighting his sword. They managed to fight with it so well that no one noticed something was amiss within the realm of dreams. I took that idea and ran.

Kiran had no combat experience prior to coming to Askr, so you can feel the finger prints left by the friends who taught them how to fight.

DAY 9: HALLOWEEN!!! HELL YEAH!!!

Someone really has to take these ruffles away from me.

Vampire Kiran, what else can I say! Drawing teeth is fun! Found this pose on Pinterest and decided to keep it simple after the brave alt. I wanted to lean away from a more typical Dracula type, both to avoid similarities to the bridal alt and Henry's Halloween alt. So I landed on a more "blood on the white cravat" type beat. Is going a little feral. As a treat. Might be preparing to claw your eyes out or give you a really big hug who knows.

DAY 10: Winter!!!

We're half way! Let's go!!!

Don't got much to say on this one! Posing was a hassle at first but after a short break I figured it out. There is also a joy in knowing that Kiran's pretty slim and lanky body type is hidden under the many many layers. But other than that, another day down! On to the next!

DAY 11: Resplendent!!!

Thank GOD for that new Reginn alt leaning deeper into that steam punk aesthetic. I saw those googles and immediately knew what I had to do.

I had a very chill time with this one. Felt very in my comfort zone, so once the basic sketch was done I allowed myself to just go off without too much thought. The premise of this alt being less front line fighter and more a mechanic for Niðavellir's machines. I think it could be fun if Kiran picks up on that kind of stuff really quickly due to the inherent similarities it has with their own world's machinery.

@ The. Hot spring alt concept for Kiran. My immediate thought was this running bit I have where a transmasc chara will drape a towel over the shoulders/chest and just be ass out. Pussy out kind of look. Ambiguous specifics aside, I think the towel over the shoulders could be translatable to a hood... Kiran hoarder of towels. They don't have to be ass out. They can have a little decency. A little decorum. The most audacious crime committed here is Too Many Towels.

This is all in good fun ofc ofc!! You don't gotta do anything w this information. I just. Felt deeply Compelled. 🧍👍

Oh no, that’s really good. The comedic potential of too many towels👀... I gotta sit with that one.

To give a peak behind the curtain for a sec, I did do some warm up sketches exploring the idea a little! It was mostly to practice Kiran's anatomy before going into the trenches tho lol.

Their anatomy rarely gets shown in the final drawing but man is it helpful. Both logistically and as moral support. Drawing their tummy brings me joy.

Seriously putting that idea in my back pocket tho. Noted. A secret tool that will help us later.

DAY 12: Ascended!!! Sprinkled with Attuned!!! With a side of Rearmed!!!

Playing real fast and loose with this prompt, but stuck with the idea of "hey god can I get a power boost and some sick new drip?" But seeing as Kiran has burned bridges with nearly every god they've ever met, I saw the opportunity to make this about my beloved tactician duo. Stealing Loki's weapon and her drip. Don't worry they'll give it back once they're done. No they don't know how to use her staff, they're just going to whack people with it.

DAY 13: Ninja!!!

Oh boy was this one a struggle. Not a bridal alt half a million ruffle struggle, but I certainly had to have blind faith in the process. This one did not come together until the VERY last second and I just had to tough it out until then. But it did happen! Yippee!!!

DAY 14: Risk and Reward PERSONA 5 BABYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

Thank you so much for @eriisaam for the suggestion of this alt and inadvertently saying my sleeper agent phrase. Persona 5 is possibly one of my biggest artistic inspirations and generally one of my favorite things. Goro Akechi ruined my god damn life and everyday I get closer to stealing Joker's gender. I adore this game.

Back to the actual risk and reward banner— It seems to have this fairytale theme? I could be wrong and it's more of an Alice in Wonderland beat, but I noticed Cath was clearly giving Cheshire cat and I think Nina was meant to be red ridding hood? I took this as evidence enough to ask friends to list some quintessential fairytales from off the dome and Cinderella was in the top three each time. I think that already works well thematically for Kiran, but then I remembered Sumire's persona is Cendrillion, an opera of a 1698 version of the fairytale. And then I remembered the glass weapons in Awakening.

Aw yeah, it's all coming together.

This one might have taken a bit longer, but I hope it was clear how much fun I was having. This felt like such a return to form for me. Got to smack two of my obsessions together into some of the most indulgent art for me personally.
