As the sun broke through the canopy of trees, time continued to pass. The leaves changed colors. Snow covered the world in a soft blanket of white. The snow melted into torrents of rain that gave birth to a wide array of wild flowers that littered over the entirety of the mountain. The smell of dew drops clinging to branches and leaves permeated the air and as a breath was taken, another bell chime rang out over the land.

Melding with the soft tones was a woman’s voice; a song dancing and weaving with the wind as it sailed through the skies - vanishing into the clouds. The sun disappeared, causing her raven curls and brown skin to blend into an even darker tint. Thunder rumbled in the distance and the last words of the song clung to the impending darkness, followed by a delicate silence.

Her hair whipped in every direction as the wind picked up speed. Slowly, she turned to look behind her but her face was hidden in shadows. Her silk robes of dark purple shook from the errant gusts swirling around her. She extended an arm out, her palm holding a single milky pearl in its center. Even in the darkness, it seemed to have a faint glow about it.

And then there was a whisper.

A whisper of a name.

Her name.

“...Vitani.”
