Still Fighting For Wonho / Red Pen Death Trials Sunday

Working on the edits of chapter four of Non Binary Stars, but fuck. I am DISTRACTED.

Not lying, the last four days have sort of been consumed by the Wonho / Monsta X / Starshit situation.

MX is the group that made me realize I was actually genuinely getting into KPop (I’d started a Spotify playlist from my first drama, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, just for shits and giggles... and one day I realized this handful of songs I’d added to the list kept standing out to me). And then I started trying to figure out who the individuals were in this group. And then I found No Mercy on YouTube and cried through a reality show I ultimately knew the outcome to...

Since then, I’ve happily admitted my love for all things MX, but I didn’t realize just how invested I’d become in these sweet boys until the bottom fell out and I woke up Thursday morning to the news that Wonho was out of MX.

I’m trying to understand what the hell is ultimately going on... because it’s weird to me that Monsta X’s website remains fixed on a point in the past. Someone’s Someone is the last update to the site... there’s no mention of the new album, no removal of Wonho.

It’s like Starshit is holding its breath... waiting. Waiting for a sign that it’s time to move forward. Waiting for the moment when we can all either get past this and Wonho stays... or the ax falls for good and my original OT7 is no more.

At least until contract renewal time. Or when Monbebes just fucking buy Starshit. Fan-owned works for the New England Patriots...
