One Thursday evening we were sent to the Chester Beatty library for a drawing seminar, the objective was to recreate a piece within your own style over 2 hours. I find this a pointless and tedious task so decided to buy a postcard of a piece I could reinterpret with my own shapes and head home, but this is my drawing of a waterfall by Japanese artist Hokusai. It was colourful and solid so we went hand in hand. I gave up halfway but I’m really in love with the balance&flow within the choice in shape relationships. Also enjoyed seeing the piece in black and white ~ I’m lazy & colour’s overrated anyway, lads.
