Is it really so hard to at least let people enjoy their media in peace no matter the flaws involved? One of the rare cases where the flaws should be taking into account is if a remake or remaster is in the works, but then again, maybe don't use a highly flawed baseline if doing either to start with. Maybe use or at least acknowledge whatever ways were fixed up or otherwise addressed in some ways made in the related works that came after the original's works, lest it come out haphazard in some way such as being inconsistently faithful to the original (especially blindly faithful in some ways).
