i love the concept of forest gods, and all kinds of deities and spirits of things. the god or goddess of a particular garden, river or pond. the spirit of a house - a non human living creature that lives and cares for the family that lives there. a god living in a library, another one in a playground or school lab. just extremely benevolent invisible beings being curious and caring for people + their activities.
