Wearing the Crown is not always worth it.
Pairing: OT7!BTS X Reader (ft. Straykids because I LOVE THEM)
Premise: In a world where vampires, werewolves, Fae folk and magic coincide harmoniously. What are the odds that 7 of these beings would share a single mate? She's not human, but something else entirely. Is she really worth finding out?

“No.” Lee Know responds nonchalantly.
“What do you mean no? She’s our mate.” Taehyungs deep voice echoing through the parkade.
“Regardless, she isn’t going with you.” Han Jisung replies, unfazed by the aggression in the magician's voice.
“Why?” Namjoon asks suspiciously, eyeing each member of Straykids in a whole new light.
“She doesn’t want to.” Lee Know shrugs.” And because she doesn’t want to….yea, she’s not going with you.”
“How do you know she doesn’t? She hasn’t said anything since being here.” Jungkook whines in annoyance. His werewolf possessiveness slowly took over, ready to fight anyone in his way to his unclaimed mate.
“Oh she has. She chooses to use telepathy to communicate.” Bang Chan smirks, hands in pockets. Showing no sign of fear, as most would in his current situation. “Well at least…. to us.”
“The only people that have heard her real voice are Lee Know and Jisung.” Felix finishes for his Hyungs. Biting his tongue in amusement as he watches the sheer disgust sweep across each member of BTS’ face.
Jungkook let’s out a low growl, harmonized by Yoongis vampire snarl. Both men are losing their ability to control themselves. Each word picked carefully to taunt them, for them to know she wasn’t theirs..yet.
“Look boys, as much fun as this is, it’s almost curfew…” Hyunjin yawns, stretching his arms above his head. “And with your drivers, umm, exiting early, you're gonna need a ride.”
Discomfort grows in Bangtan. Jhope, Jin and Jimin unable to look away from you as you still stand behind Stray kids. You’re not looking at them, your gaze fixed on something over to your right. You feel them staring, abruptly you make eye contact with Jin, expression blank. Shifting your body you face Minho to your left, to which he nods at you, clearly you’ve said something to him.
“You have two choices. One, walk home.” Chan wiggles his eyebrow, then motions towards the cars. “Or two, let us drive you.”
Filled with uncertainty, the boys of BTS share a look. They watch as you walk back over to the car that you arrived in, Felix holding the door open for you. You don’t make eye contact with any of them as you disappear in the back seat.
“Up to you guys.” Chan shrugs and walks over to your car.
Half standing in the car, half dangling out of it, Changbin pipes up from the driver's side of another vehicle.
“C’mon, just get in.” He belows excitedly, fully entering the driver's seat and closing the door.
“If you want any answers, you’re gonna have to live a little.” I.N laughs hopping into another vehicle.
As the rest of Stray kids climb into the cars, the 6 members of BTS look to Namjoon for any signs on what they should do.
“Looks like we’re going to have to go with them.” He huffs, arms stiff as a board by his sides.
Whooping and hollering can be heard from the open vehicles by the Kids. Bangtan members are hesitant to take any steps towards this unknown.
Straykids aren’t what they appeared to be. They are now a threat, a terrifying threat they had never calculated into their existence. Secrets that should remain buried are now being unearthed, purely by them finding their mate. The essence of terror seeps off of them. Is it really worth finding out?
Jimin breaks the silence, jumping in front of the others, making the decision for them.
“She’s worth it.”
