there was a scene where the other gods expressed concern over Eclipse making the reader his demi god (I think, I can't remember exactly) and there was a different method mentioned that offended/disgusted Eclipse but was never actually said what it was

I think I vaguely recall what scene you're speaking of, but regardless, there's only two ways to make a demigod in the OLS universe.

The first is the one we see with Vanessa and Gregory, where a god puts a part of their essence into a soul.

The second, uh. The second is the Greek pantheon way (minus the bad stuff that usually happens to the non-godly partner afterwards).
