George Lore About Fucking Time - Tumblr Posts

Can I talk about how much I love this clip from George’s lore stream?? The first time I watched it I wasn’t really paying attention, but now that I am paying attention, I am Having Feelings.

The first thing George does after waking up is realize he was dreaming, and the second thing he does is realize he still has the armor that DreamXD gave him. And just….. the way he executed this realization….. the whole point of me making this post…… was flawless. George perfectly expresses what his character is thinking, the way he drops his sword and picks it up again, how he immediately does the same thing with the rest of his tools and armor. George is reassuring himself that his things are tangible, he drops the items, picks them up again, puts them on, and changes perspective so he can see for himself that he’s wearing the armor.

He’s hesitant, confused—once he comes to the conclusion that he still has the armor, he breaks the rose bush and puts it back down, making sure the world around him is real as well, he does the equivalent of pinching himself to see if he’ll wake up. George clearly shows his character’s thought process, and the most shocking part to me, is that he does it completely SILENTLY.

I feel like when a lot of streamers do lore they rely heavily on monologuing, when they need to express a feeling they do it by verbally stating every thought that comes to their mind. I don’t have any examples on hand but I notice it the most with ranboo, puffy, and fundy. And it certainly isn’t bad to do this, it’s just, watching George of all people, roleplay with such precise subtlety (both on his face and through his minecraft character’s body language)—especially after 3.5 hours of whatever fucking lore THAT was, literally left me reeling so hard
