I wish I knew what it was like to care enough to carry on. I wish I knew what it was like to find a place where I belong. But. I am Machine. I never sleep, I keep my eye WIDE OPEN. I am Machine. A part of me wishes I could just FEEL SOMETHING. Wooo~! This is the second Three Days Grace picture I mentioned. This one has Akari on it. Holy shet, that background looks so cool and I was just derping. It makes me feel like I was lazy on Gin's picture ovo; Akari and the art belong to me I am Machine belongs to Three Days Grace.

So. This is a thing that I just spent easily 6 hours on. AND I AM SO FREAKING PROUD OF IT! It's the first picture I've done like this and my first big project in sai and I recorded it for my first speedpaint! So three firsts in one go! 8D
I feel this picture would be a good one to give the reasoning behind Akari's collar
and why his reflection doesn't have it
and some backstory on him in general so sit down kiddies. It's story time:
Ok so, Akari has always had a two-sided kind of nature to him, duality is probably the closest thing I could name to it, one insane side and one….less insane. He’s always unstable but can become more so if someone bugs him just right. Kuuro kind of keeps him in line. Well. Keeps him from killing. Bodily harm is still viable though. So as a joke Kuuro bought him a collar with a black heart charm on it because her symbol was a black heart. So it was joke on how she owns him. Akari took it in stride and in return gave her a rose tattoo on her shoulder as his own mark of ownership as he is most often symbolized with a rose.
The collar however has become more than just a joking gift for him because at one point he nearly lost it. Both the collar and his sane(ish) side. Long story short, he is highly protective of Kuuro and will kick the ass of anyone who pose her a potential threat. So someone jumped Kuuro and pulls her into an alleyway for the exact reasons you’re probably thinking. So of course this sets Akari off hardcore and he attacks them. There’s a fight and the guy yanks off Akari’s collar in attempt to get at his throat, this just makes Akari become more enraged and goes feral on him, literally biting the guy’s throat when he kills him. Kuuro tries to calm Akari down like she normally does but it doesn’t work, obviously Akari doesn’t attack her, she’s too precious to him but him in this state is still hazardous.
Kuuro eventually notices the collar on the ground and just to see if that would work she put it back on him. After a bit he calmed and returned to normal. Ever since then, every time he snaps the collar somehow vanishes and magically returns when he is back to normal. So basically, if you ever see Akari without his collar…
Run.
And never stop running. Akari and the art belong to me, please do not use without my permission.
