Random Headcanon cause I can:
Adora snorts when she laughs. Ever since she was little she has. Though, growing up she probably got made fun of a little in the Horde. Enough that she did what she could to suppress it.
However, once she leaves it slips one day. She is laughing and starts to snort. Adora gets embarrassed about it and waiting for like Bow and Glimmer to poke fun at it. However, they don't care. Glimmer actually loves it and encourages it.
Every time Glimmer hears Adora's snort, she falls a little more in love with her

It's so sad how Adora is spiraling in this scene, actually believing that Catra turning more "evil" and the attack on Bright Moon are her fault. Shadow Weaver really messed her up. Poor bebe 🥺
But then Glimmer tries to comfort her by hugging her
It's such a sweet and caring way to stop the negative self-talk. Additionally, rational arguments probably wouldn't work, so she just expresses her affection.
It's so, so intimate: Glimmer's head rests against Adora's chest, she's probably hearing her upset heartbeat right now. In this moment, Adora visibly calms down. In the show, Glimmer tells Adora "You got this and we got your back", which is very sweet.
But the embrace alone conveys so much love, trust and unterstanding that even without the dialogue, the message would still be clear:
I see you
I love you
I'm here
If Adora had nightmares (which is very likely due to all the abuse she lived -not only from Shadow Weaver cough-), Glimmer would calm her down and hug it better. rubbing soothing motions in her back. She would give her space if she needed. Because that’s what healthy couples do.
Nightmares
Bit of a personal piece because Adora’s trauma means a lot to me and I want it to be okay for her not to be okay.
one of my favorite hcs is when adora gets really bad nightmares about the horde or the war in general and everything that went down with it glimmer drags a mattress out in the balcony, gets some light blankets and the most comfortable pillows she finds and one of those pillows that are a bit more rigid bc they're supposed to help with posture (turns out is the only kind of pillow adora tolerates). glimmer makes adora put her pillow against the wall, lay on her side and puts some pillows behind her back so she doesn't feel vulnerable and then glimmer moves around in front of adora and lays down curling onto her and she starts singing an old lullaby while stroking adora's back all the way to her nape, the other hand on adora's hip, keeping her movements repetitive so adora can slowly relax against glimmer's chest and fall asleep listening to the combo of her wife heartbeat and her singing voice :,)

glimmer singing lullaby’s to her children to help them fall asleep when they are scared and Adora just listening the whole time and falling a little more in love with her wife every time she sings

Adora tries many romantic gestures towards Glimmer. Like, she learns to play the piano to play love songs for her, she learns how to grow flowers from Perfuma so she can always have some for her girlfriend whenever she feels down. She has a go at poetry too, and discovers that she has quite the way with words.

Glimmer gets sick
It's just a fever, nothing massive. But Glimmer's never been sick before because she's half immortal. Angella's never been sick either (obviously) so she has no idea how to tell if it's the common cold or if Glimmer's going to die in ten minutes. So they're both freaking out. And Adora just isn't helping.
As soon as she heard that Glimmer was sick, she remembered what being sick meant in the Horde and, in a misguided attempt to help, made it her personal mission to let absolutely no-one come anywhere near Glimmer. Including Angella and the medical team. Angella, in her panicked state, convinced the medical team that Glimmer could die at any minute. So Adora and Angella both start arguing, both trying to help Glimmer and neither really listening to the other. Adora is physically blocking the door so the medical team are basically sat there twiddling their thumbs while they think the princess is dying, because what else are they gonna do, try and muscle past She-Ra?
So Bow, feeling like the only sane person in Bright Moon, decides to sort things out. First he starts by explaining things to the medical team, who are both relived and a little annoyed. Then he needs to try and diffuse an argument between the two strongest people in Bright Moon.
He starts with Angella, because he knows she's just being an overprotective mom. He calmly explains how a fever works and that Glimmer's going to be absolutely fine and not to worry. Angella immediately asks a million questions about the fever, most of which Bow can't answer, so he tells her that the doctors will be able to answer her questions better than he can. Angella thanks him and goes to talk to the doctors, intending to learn everything about them so she can help her daughter, leaving Bow to try and talk Adora down.
He walks up to her and she points her sword at him and says something like "Bow, I like you, but you aren't getting anywhere near Glimmer,"
Bow is confused and a little nervous (Adora is pointing a sword at him, and she's clearly not messing around) but asks her a) can you please put the sword down, and b) why not?
Adora lowers the sword and tells him that she's making sure that nobody's going to hurt Glimmer while she's sick. Bow gets more confused, so Adora explains that she knows what happens to sick people and wants better for Glimmer. Bow has absolutely no idea what she's talking about and, naturally, gets even more confused. Adora starts to realise that maybe the Horde's attitude to sickness isn't the way normal people see sickness. She tells Bow what happens when people are sick in the Horde: If they make themselves scarce, that's fine, they're lucky. If not, they suffer public humiliation, and in some cases, physical retribution. Mildly horrified, Bow assures Adora that the rebellion does not treat anybody like that, sick or otherwise. An extremely relieved Adora finally lets Bow see Glimmer. Again, she's fine, it's literally just everybody overreacting over a fever.
