Hat Kid needs one of these
My brother and I were conversing last night. Every game that doesn't have a gun would be much shorter if it did.
(Guns don't work on ghosts, you say? Salt pellets. Bam.)
that was almost as unexpected as these 3 fellows.
Reblog, click the picture, and prepare for battle.

The IMC literally tried to blow up a civilian planet in the main story of Titanfall 2 what the hell
Random thinky thought I had while playing TItanfall 2, but I think part of the reason why people like to have only one brain cell about the IMC and say that there “are no bad guys” is that Titanfall 1 does give us the IMC perspective via the IMC “campaign.” In that campaign, the Militia are, of course, portrayed as the bad guys. This does provide both sides of the story, which is more than you usually get in an FPS . However, it doesn’t provide the truth, and it doesn’t come anywhere near portraying an incident where there “are no bad guys.”
Now, to be fair: I haven’t played Titanfall 1 so if I’m wrong about anything the Militia does, I’m open to corrections. But as far as I can tell from watching play throughs of both “campaigns,” the only evidence we have of the Militia being terrible bloodthirsty terrorists who come anywhere close to the level of bad the IMC reaches is by way of the IMC calling them terrorists, the enemy, bad people. I’ve heard some people say they killed some IMC-aligned scientists (non-combatants, which, to be fair, is definitely bad), but I don’t recall hearing about that one personally, so I’m still unclear on that. Meanwhile, in both the IMC AND Militia campaigns, we see:
Several high-ranking IMC officers defect to the Militia side because they find the IMC’s behavior indefensible, including MacAllan and Graves (Graves being especially noteworthy because he’s a vice admiral, which is one step below the highest ranking you can get in the Navy).
Other members also defect; besides Barker, Briggs makes mention of a lot of IMC soldiers defecting to the Militia side in the final mission.
IMC soldiers opening fire on civilians and defending doing so (of note: Blisk’s “if we don’t kill them now, they’ll just become Militia later” defense is ONLY heard in the IMC route, so it’s not like this is a thing where the Militia only thought those were civilians but the IMC knew they were combatants–no, the IMC knew they were civilians but they went and did a war crime).
Blisk really be out there spewing Eugenics talk while on the company dime, and you hear this in both versions of the story.
So basically, evidence of war crimes, hiring a social darwinist, and mass defections because you suck that much…and I’m supposed to believe both sides are equally bad?
And honestly, at the end of the day, even if the Militia did some messed up stuff (and I don’t doubt that they did, war is ugly and people rarely come out the other side with their hands clean), that still doesn’t change the fact that the IMC have consistently across two games done objectively worse things, repeatedly, like advocate for murdering 40 million people as a nice STARTING number to force a surrender. And if you include Apex, they willingly worked with Hammond Robotics, and we’ve all seen what Hammond Robotics has been up to lately. Sure, both sides in a war can do messed up things, and sometimes the answers aren’t always so clear cut, but sometimes war CAN have one side that is, in fact, the bad guys who need to get their asses kicked.
Tl;Dr: Don’t fall for the IMC propaganda, even the campaign that shows their side of the story makes them look bad.
