I don't think I've shared this yet, but I'm currently working on a Fitor plush :]

Also here's a quick mildly chaotic little peek at the point I'm currently at with the project

(I've only got a bit more hand sewing to do before external assembly now)

Quick update on the Fitor plush: He's almost done :]

Folks! I am proud to present to you, my newly completed Fitor plush!! :D

I'm quite happy with how he turned out, and especially with how well he goes with Cy-Kill (believe me, getting plushies to scale well with each other when making them from scratch is quite tricky)

In terms of features, Fitor's wings are lined with crinkly plastic for both structural integrity and a fun little sensory/fidgety thing. The wings can also be pinned back with button snaps if need be (as shown in the photos) And like most of my plushies do, Fitor has plastic pellets in his hands and feet

I know that I haven't been posting as frequently lately, so I figured I'd share some Gobots-related sketches that I've been gradually piling up in recent times

(Plus one unfinished scribble of Dragstrip because he's on the page too and he's allowed to stay)

A few sketches of Bad Boy (yes that is his name) that I've had sitting in my sketchbook for a while now

Yeah they're not the best sketches ever, but I figured I'd share them regardless. I wanted to draw more of this guy in the future anyway

These guys are very fun to draw

I challenged myself to make a Beanie Baby inspired plushie of the Gobot's Command Center in one day... and this is the result :]

Very happy with how this silly little loaf turned out! Especially considering the fact that I did most of the sewing by machine (I'd usually opt to hand-sew a lot of the trickier seams since the machine feels very easy to make a mistake on)

There isn't much to say in terms of features, this fella's basically just a funky bean bag with legs. I did add a little tag as well, I wanted to experiment a little bit with features I don't typically add

Small bonus:

A few little sketches I did while playing around with the Gobot Beanie Baby idea (BeanieBots, if you will)

I may have gotten a bit fixated on drawing these little "marshmallowified" versions of the Gobots today

It started when I was doodling at work and I decided to simplify and squish Cop-tur's proportions down for fun, and then naturally the concept caught on and I wanted to squish down every one of them!

(I was gonna draw some other guys in, but I quickly realised I wasn't that confident with ink so I improvised a background)

Completely neglected to share this, but I've got another Gobot plush in the works! ^v^

I thought it might be a nice break to make a slightly less complicated guy for once, and then I went ahead and overcomplicated a bunch of details lol (not to mention I'm working on two guys at once currently because I got impatient)

I took a picture of Fly Trap's pieces before they'd been cut out to declare that I'd started this project, but this picture's a little out of date now considering the fact that the majority of the sewing's already done

Also another little fun detail! Since this guy turns into a garbage truck, I've decided it'd be both ironic and fitting if I gave him a scent chip :] (Bubblegum scented, to be precise) (You can kinda see the chip in the picture above, it's the pink shape covered by the orange and blue buttons) (And if you were wondering, Build-a-Bear sells scent chips that you can put in your plushies)

I saw Matt Rose's new video about Google's AI feature, and apparently it thinks that Cement trucks hatch from eggs

So of course I felt inspired to draw some cement trucks from my two favourite shapeshifting-vehicle-robot shows as freshly hatched babies ^v^

Oh yeah, it's pride month now, isn't it?

Seems like a good time for some sketches of gay robots (as plushies of course)

So I left Fitor on the couch the other night. Then when my dad had to move him to a different spot, he posed him like this

(I also took a shot of the pose from a different angle)

The shop window's contents were reflecting in the glass awning, and I thought it looked neat so I snapped a picture of that as well

Flytrap plush progress photos! Except they're a bit out of date because I procrastinated on sharing these... this guy's actually in the final assembly stages now, lol

In any case, mainly sharing these to give y'all a better look at the back side of the face, as well as showing to some extent how I went about making the box that encases his head (I opted to leave the outer seams open so that I could ladder-stitch them shut after putting in some acrylic foam sheets)

Took me a bit longer than usual since I've been working on two projects at once, but I'm glad I finished him regardless

Now in terms of features, the main one is the bubblegum scent chip I put inside his chest! (Because it felt funny and ironic to make a garbage truck smell like something sweet) I also made his little hip-pouch things removable via buttons, mostly to give them the ability to swivel so they wouldn't get in the way of him sitting

Structurally, I put some acrylic foam sheets inside the box around his head as well as his "cap" brim so they'd keep their shape a bit more, then of course we have plastic pellets in the hands and feet as usual

I managed to fit Fly Trap into the dresser lineup, even if it is starting to be a bit of a tight squeeze (Where exactly a plush is gonna go after I've finished making them always seems to be an afterthought, lol)
