Lackadaisy Sims 4 build! Part 1
So my friends have been URGING me to share this, and I'm trying to be less shy about openly geeking out about my interests on the internet, so f*CK it, here goes.
I recently got the Sims 4 because the base game was free on Steam. After doing the initial “creating myself as a Sim and building my dream home” thing I always used to do as a kid, me and one of my friends started talking about building entire towns of just our favorite characters, comfort ships, and fictional crushes. After mentally cycling through my options like a frickin slot machine, and starting to create some of my OCs as well, I realized I could make human Zib 👀
And then I started thinking of all of my favorite Lackadaisy characters and – holy sHIT I CAN BUILD THE WHOLE LACKADAISY SPEAKEASY AND ALL THE CHARACTERS OH MY GOOOOODDDD!!!
…So now we're here lol. A few weeks in, and I have built the Little Daisy Cafe, the apartment buildings, the underground network of tunnels and the Lackadaisy speakeasy itself, as well as several of the characters. And I'm STILL NOT DONE.
I did have to build this within the parameters of the Sims, so some things are a little wonky, but I legit have been cross-referencing the webcomic and the animated episodes to try and get as accurate of a build as possible. I even learned how to use mods, just so I could have accurate 1920s themed decor/appliances/fashion, and functional jazz instruments. We haven't seen certain parts of the buildings yet, so I did take some liberties in order to fill space/make sure everyone has a place to stay. This is still a work in progress; I am thinking of splitting up certain characters into different households, for more story accuracy. Also I still plan on adding more characters, so if you aren't seeing a favorite character of yours yet, don't fret! They're coming!
