I once made a not so serious post about a possible parallelism between Megumi and Sukuna.

And....

Sorry but how do you keep Megumi trapped inside Sukuna and when Yuji reaches the depths Megumi starts saying this stuff

right after the chapter where Yuji was trying to reach Sukuna and show him the beauty of life without me thinking that what Megumi's saying is a hint to Sukuna's true buried (human?) feelings and maybe what he could never have?? (Or maybe not and he's just the antithesis of Megumi which is another form of parallelism)

Megumi's soul is trapped inside a curse!!!

let me rephrase that...

A "Blessing" is drowned inside the king of curses!!

A "Blessing" that he tried so hard to suppress by killing his love one(s)

This is the exact type of symbolism that sticks in my brain and I just can't ignore it.

Maybe it's a reach but I just can't brush it off!!

Yuji tried to save them both!!

Keep in mind the Ksitigarbha is also a guardian of children and a patron deity of deceased children and aborted fetuses.

Gege did repeat the scene where Satoru meets child Megumi but with Yuji this time!!

Satoru was trying to save Megumi and reach Sukuna but he failed. (Seems like Yuta's method of becoming Satoru also failed)

I didn't take the Yuji being Satoru's parallel seriously before but I think there's some merit to it now.. (especially after that panel of him with child Megumi, Really Gege?)

Yuta was also a gojo parallel (he literally became gojo) and his character was connected to the theme of love as well. (There is also that whole Rika= Geto thing)

Maybe Gege is showing us two types of students? the one that imitates his teacher, and the other one that does it in his own way and actually succeeds??

It makes sense that Yuta is the one to carry Satoru's will and kill Kenjaku (a major villain) and maybe even get to bury geto's body and Satoru's body... maybe next to each other?👀

I imagine Shoko will be there too at the burial...

On the other hand we have Yuji dealing with the main villain (the other thing that Satoru wanted to do and failed)..

I can see Yuji having the ability to see the afterlife of others like Sukuna and Maybe he will guide Sukuna and Gojo (and the others?) to go North?

Honestly this correlation between Megumi and Sukuna is interesting I don't know what it is exactly but...

The fact that we found out that Gege planned for Sukuna to possess Megumi from the start but he was told to change it!!??

AND The cursed womb arc (which I think is the heart of the manga) where Sukuna rips Yuji's heart out and says he can live without it but the brat can't..

(Which was a very cool and symbolic way to subtly tell us the difference in their ideals)

I don't know if it still has the double meaning in Japanese... it probably does

The shibuya stuff and everything was to get gojo out of the story so Sukuna can possess Megumi (which is what Gege wanted all along) so he can repeat what happened in the cursed womb arc again but in reverse.

Also..... there's a possible parallel between Megumi killing Tsumiki and Sukuna killing Gojo?????

Gege gave Megumi a sister that's important to him (and literally does nothing with her) makes me think she was made only so she can get killed by Megumi's hands, but not before making her possessed by a woman who's obsessed with teaching Sukuna about love. (Right before his fight with Gojo mind you) and then connecting this love thing with his fight with gojo (possibly Sukuna's important person?) Bringing up yorozu's words again and again and again during the fight!!

He killed gojo while in Megumi's Body!! (He didn't need to do that!! Don't you find it suspicious that right after killing gojo he turns into his true form??????)

He only gets into his true form when he starts fighting Kashimo (who's kinda Satoru's true form in a way) and he uses the weapon Yorozu gave him on Kashimo!!

And then more talk about love ensued !!!!

And love was never brought up again!!

Honestly this whole thing is diabolical I don't know how Gaygay managed to cook this hard !!

I still have no idea how this is gonna end though.. is Sukuna really just evil? Will we ever get his backstory? Will Yuji be able to actually reach him and make Satoru proud?

I had a thought today..

What if Sukuna doesn't look as smitten with gojo when the fight gets animated? It looks that way because of the way gege draws his eyes... they look half lidded which gives him that down bad look lol

Mappa doesn't always follow gege's artstyle sooo... Sukuna might look just like he's smiling in a normal way (even if it still would be gay because why are you smiling and thinking about love as your enemy belittles you and beats you up????) 🤨🏳️‍🌈??

But yeah.. the half lidded eyes would be nice.

I hope they draw his eyelashes the same way they draw Megumi's at least

I can see them not giving him the eyelashes to try and make him appear more masculine or wtv and they will buff him up of course like Yujikuna..

He will look sexy regardless but.... I want half lidded eyes... and... eyelashes..😔

Ever think about how Gojo Satoru (The Honored One), gets trapped underground and then sealed (the plan was for a 1000 years), while the Fallen, the Disgraced One, is set free flying so high in the sky, destroying buildings and planes as though to herald the new Age of Curses or sum shit? Idk I think that's really cool.

Ever think about how they are the only characters in the story that we are aware of who have been sealed?

Ever think about how whenever one of them gets unleashed the other is absent against his will??

Until their fight of course.

Then it's survival of the fittest.

Imagine if jjk ended up like Jojo's bizarre adventure...

Sukuna wins and we have a new cast every century (with some old characters from the previous season as teachers) and they try to defeat him.

We get to know Sukuna more during the seasons (and we get the heian flashback)

The best part is that Sukuna will definitely start glazing Gojo like Madara glazed Hashirama...

I adore the notion that Sukuna's downfall (in love) begins with his fight with Gojo—I mean, physically? That's pretty much Canon. The main reason he lost was the damage Satoru dealt him.

However, I also want to believe that Satoru caused him psychological damage (not really damage but Sukuna is a drama queen) in addition to the physical one.

Sukuna helps Satoru become enlightened, but it results in his own (de-enlightenment?)

Sukuna only cares about his pleasures and he realizes that they are ephemeral. But then he experiences such intense pleasure that he finds it impossible to move on from it, promising Gojo to remember him all his life.

It appears to me that he became attached.

Him using Satoru's hand sign until his last moments while having four fucking arms is proof of that.

And THAT'S the curse of love😉

WHAT DO YOU MEAN the finger that Satoru kept with him this entire time is all that remains of Sukuna? 

What do you mean Satoru is going south and not north??!! (which I've always found weird since he's supposed to be enlightened and all that, but it all makes sense now💀)

This generation will grow old and die eventually, but Gojo chose South, which means he will be reincarnated as the six eyes after 400 years.

And since Kenjaku isn't around to create the ideal vessel for Sukuna, Yuji won't be present.

Think about it... everyone saw the events of Gojo's fight with Sukuna when they were at the airport.

I imagine Satoru saw everything that happened after he died too.

Sukuna said he will remember Gojo for as long as he lives. It's only fair that Satoru returns the favor, no?

So he goes south, planning on dealing with that last finger.

But he won't have his memories 😭

So imagine Reincarnated Satoru having dreams (nightmares) of fingers, four eyes, four arms, being sliced in half, swallowing fingers, and so on..

He finds the finger one day, and after a series of events, he eats it. Sukuna recognizes him, of course, and Satoru recognizes him from his dreams. 

This Satoru is not enlightened yet, but when he is, he will have his memories of his past life.

Sukuna is not nearly as strong as before, but they meet at each other's domains to talk about things, train, and... you know...

The most important thing though is that they are never alone. They will die together this time (Sukuna will finally die for good, leaving nothing of him behind), and they will go North together 🥰

I can't believe that the Jujutsu Kaisen is the finger Gojo kept with him all along

Sukuna already felt indebted to Gojo for postponing Yuji's execution.

And now we know Gojo saved his ass again by keeping that finger with him it's the only reason he's not dead😭😭 I bet he will try to repay Gojo's future reincarnation by killing him again 🥰

We don't talk about these panels enough this is the first time the words: "The loneliness that comes with peerless strength!! I will be the one who will teach you about love!!" Were uttered.

And THIS. WAS. SUKUNA'S. REACTION.

Yorozu seemed to have expressed to him exactly how he felt about someone else. It seems like an "Ironic, I was just thinking that" kind of laugh.

He pulled a weird face and legit started giggling; even Yorozu was like, "Huh?"

She perceived it as Sukuna already knowing about love, but if it were anyone else, they would’ve assumed Sukuna was just mocking them (she's not crazy; Gege is simply expressing to us what Sukuna is thinking through her so it becomes clear and not up for interpretation).

It becomes even more clear during his fight with gojo, it's so painfully obvious it's basically canon that Sukuna loved gojo (or at the very least wanted to).

It's so damn obvious that a dudebro created a theory video titled "Sukuna loves Gojo" that is based on this exchange between Yorozu and Sukuna before the fight with Gojo even happened.

Like... in what world does that happen??😭😭 a dudebro making a theory like that? And the comments are something else man... (I advice everyone to watch it it's really good).

Yorozu felt threatened, she became jealous, and literally started sweating😭😭 and declared "That's not love!! I'll show you what real love looks like!!" Which she obviously failed to accomplish lol

I wish we could have had an interaction between Yorozu and Gojo. we were robbed..

I know she would have hated gojo and tried to kill him in an attempt to prove she is stronger than him and therefore more worthy of Sukuna's love lmao

guys you know how gojo has blue eyes and sukuna has red eyes. And blue + red makes hollow purple and the word hollow purple has 12 letters and sukuna + satoru has 12 letters…..they’re meant to be!!!!

satosugu or sukugo au with canon divergence where he loses his six eyes and inevitably goes blind so when he wakes up, his celestial blue eyes have lost all their colour and glitter. What stares back at shoko is an empty void of black amidst an endless sea of white that stretches and bleeds out of Satoru’s eyes that struggle to adjust to the nothingness around them. And with time, the emptiness within them becomes more and more pronounced, the only remnants of something akin to emotion is a ghastly silhouette who’s existence becomes pronounced once every blue moon, when something shifts in Satoru’s usual expression, a flash of silver in the void, or a glint of teasing blue, appearing only for a flicker of a second before disappearing. It takes everyone weeks, even months to adjust to Gojo’s blindness, he still wears his blindfold and/or glasses out of habit, but also because when in battle, what truly shakes his enemy the most is the subliminal revelation of the vacancy in his eyes. There’s no fear, no arrogance, nothing but simple blankness except to those who manage to catch the occasional exception of it.
