Hello there fellow Gungrave fans!

I created this blog with the intention of adding my thoughts to this lovely series. Once again Yasuhiro Nightow tore out my heart right after I discovered Trigun. Even though Gungrave isn’t one of his more popular works I feel it still deserves some attention. While I admit that narratively Trigun still remains the more compelling of Nightow’s works (I haven’t seen Blood Blockade Battlefront yet please no spoilers) I loved Gungrave enough to buy the Dark Horse artbook! Ranging from stupid shitposts and analysis on both the games and anime adaptation, I would love to discuss this odd little gem with others so feel free to message me!
(However, I should add that my attention span and willingness to share my thoughts with others is a fickle thing so if I don’t respond to you please don’t take it personally. Interacting with people in any sort of capacity drains my social battery.)

The real reason Grave drags his feet everywhere is because he wants to delay dealing with bullshit for as long as possible.

Then again just last night I started writing a short little Juji story but I don’t know when I’m gonna finish it. I also plan to do fanart but motivation to draw has honestly become more evasive than wanting to write. Can’t get over Gungrave Gore. Everyone that I’ve seen talk or write about it seems oblivious to the fact that the cutscenes and writing are so out of line with the style of the franchise to the point that it’s insulting.
And what the hell is with this music? Not even a hint of of the subtle jazz infused Wild West stylisation that the original 2 games and the anime had.
And don’t even get me started on the horrible choices they made with character progression and unlockables.
