        THE CORNERS OF HER LIPS CURL INTO A SMIRK and she can’t help but nod in agreement,   though it was the perfect space to get out the infernal rage boiling in the pit of her stomach,    it often left her overwhelmed with the intense need to fill it back up again.    that if she didn’t fit the role of this aggressive frontwoman then the show would become lackluster in some form,    it was almost as if she was looking for new ways to piss herself off.    ‘  IT MAKES THE WORK A LITTLE EASIER,    the crowd goes crazy when you ask them to yell shit back at you.  ’

      ❝ YEAH,  &  YOU’RE GOOD AT IT. ❞  rae had been a fan of the rotted dolls since she’d first seen them play,  &  lou’s stage presence as their indomitable frontwoman was a big part of the reason why.  she considered herself a bit of a music aficionado, but it was still kinda rare that she found girls with that kind of energy in punk bands,  &  rae had instantly been hooked.  but after spending some time working with her in the little local record store, she had gotten to see another side of lou  —  one that was a little more normal.   &  as she alphabetized the reggae section, rae couldn’t help but wonder if even badass rock stars felt down sometimes.  ❝ is it ever hard ?  it seems like it would be hard sometimes.  to perform like that, i mean.  like, say you’re really tired, or you’re sick, or you’ve just got your period,  &  you really really don’t feel like getting up in front of a bunch of people.  what do you do then ? ❞
